Default Odd situation at the table

So the donkey I was playing against (to my immediate right) stood up and was replaced by a whole different type of player.

Villian runs 15/15 (raised every single hand in) and tends to shut down on the flop if he doesn't catch.

Anyone have thoughts on a specific strategy for playing against someone like this?

When it is basically he and I, I am more likely to bet when he checks and might check/call the flop with a very strong hand.

Go find another donkey - 15/15 won't play enough hands to really make any money from him and until you get an overset or 2pair to his TPTK you won't really make any money from him at all anyway.

Exactly. If you came to the table to play one donkey in particular and he left and was replaced with a solid player, it's time for you to leave and find yourself a new donkey to play with.

Table selection.

That's not an odd situation. It's every session.

I always thought the rule was: if you think someone is better than you, or you don't know how to play against them... leave.

Edit: but if what you say is true, then call his preflop raises in position, and then if he checks flop just bet.

but you probably don't want to listen to my advice, at least not now
