Party just closed 2 of JJprodigey's (sp?) accounts and confiscated $180k+.

He's a fag and played on at least 2 accounts in one tournament when he won $140k at Party's 500k guarenteed and he has played multiple accounts on multiple tournys in the past as well
It's awesome Party actually did something about this.. they closed both his accounts and took all the $$$ out of both, like Chip said, 180K+.

Since then everyone has been talking about how many pros do this same thing with multiple accounts and how its really more common than ppl think.

JJProdigy's words about it...

Alright, so here it is.

The account 'ABlackCar' was not made for multi-accounting. It was intentionally made for my grandma for her birthday present. However, it was never given to her. So, I had an extra account. Yes, I multi-tabled. Yes, it is incredibly easy. Yes, many people do it was . You really have no idea about the situation.

About 2 months ago, I thought it was just a really bad idea like everyone else. A lot of my friends did it, and i always gave them a hard time for it. But, I had a conversation with a player where we decided it would be a lot of +EV to not be known when you are playing MTTs. So, basically, I had a spare account with tons of +EV in it. So many poeple did it with no reprocautions. I know someone who had over 10 accounts in a recent million guaranteed. Party has no idea.

So, back to the day of the win. When there was about 30 left, I started telling all these people I was in. I was too much caught up in the moment, and it was a really stupid thing to do in hindsight. It slipped out, and everyone knew. The account was in the name of my grandma, and it was intended for her to play in, so that was the easiest excuse for me. I apologize for lieing to everyone. I really do. When such a large amount of money is on the line, it's really tough to be loyal to morals.

The next morning, both accounts were close. Today, they took away all the money. The roughly 40k in JJProdigy, and the 140k in ABlackCar.

What I find most amusing about all of this is how a large number of players are sticking up for him.
Saying what he did was ok...

Even funnier is if he had of kept his mouth shut, not a thing would have happened, and he would still have his $180k and multi accounts.

Maybe he, you know, shouldn't have cheated.

Sucks to lose that much money, but he was asking for it. I'm glad Party made an example of him. Maybe that will deter these other guys who he claims play with 10 different accounts in a single MTT.

Look, I am not trying to be the politically correct police, but wtf is with the “gay” insult? It may be true that this guy fucks other guys, but that has nothing to do with the fact that he is a cheat and deserves to have his money confiscated.

I am all for hating, but lets hate for the right reasons.

This is really what it all comes down to:

I wonder how (exactly) they are going to go about refunding money to the players who were affected. Were you in this tourney, JD?

How so many people can defend this guy's actions, I do not understand.

From Party's Terms and Conditions:

Seems pretty clear to me.

Here here!

Seems like a decent forum, except for the fact that some members keep bashing the gay community.

I saw the same thing happen on Stars while playing with a few of this forum's members and now I see it yet again. I think it should come from the boss himself if he's willing to put up with such comments then the members won't mind saying such things.

When will you all learn that it is not right to say things like that in reference to gay people?

That kinda sucks to see him talk about other people doing it. It's probably not "common" among a large group, but it seemed like he was talking like it was an accepted and understood practice among certain people.

Terrible.

But, what I'm wondering...how are they taking away his 40k from the first account? Is that from the past or did he earn all that in the 9 common tourneys that they pointed out?

I was playing in a tourney in which someone got caugt cheating, my reaction would be anger rather than sympathy. He was also pretty transparent about the whole thing, and shouldn't be keeping that kind of cash in poker accounts anyway.

What I found interesting was Party's comment that "Funds gathered by this deception will be refunded to the players that were affected." How will they go about this? Will anyone who played the tourney be entitled to ask them for a piece of the confiscation pie?

Anyone who has ever played with him (JJ) in tournaments should be given back their buy-in for it. That would be a step in the right direction for Party to take.

Was this not very sarcastic post of mine not clear enough?

Do I need to post a link to that in every thread when someone says something is "gay?" Or should I simply start banning people every time that say something that someone somewhere may find offensive. Wait a minute - GTDawg is a batboy for the Atlanta BRAVES! Well, there are plenty of American Indians who find that term offensive, so I guess I better ban him, right?

Yeah, that's ridiculous. I'm not going to start censoring this forum, nor am I going to try to figure out where to draw the line between innocent comments and minor insults. If someone goes way, way over the line (meaning it's clear to everyone - everyone is offended), then I'll deal with it, just like I always have in the past. But I don't think I'm so high and mighty that I should get to decide what words are allowed and what ones aren't, just because someone out there finds them offensive. That's asking way too much of me, and would end up offending more people who are being censored than were offended by the "gay" comment in the first place. This is a lose-lose situation for me, see?

I think posts like meloris' above are perfectly acceptable, although a PM would have served the same purpose (there are a number of members who have received PMs from me in the past about certain "language" that other people have complained to me about). I would like to think that over time, guys like JD will realize that even though they might mean no offense to the homosexual community by using words like "gay" and "fag" and whatever in a negative context, some of their peers here find them offensive, so hopefully they will refrain from using them in the future. But that's up to them as individuals. I'm simply not going to start censoring every single word that someone somewhere finds offensive. I can't.

Edit: More "gay" reading material, for anyone who missed it (I see no need to recreate this same exact conversation over nad over again):

He broke theirs Terms. So they can close his account and take his money. It's that simple. BOTH accounts were involved in the cheating, not just the one that he happened to win a big tourney with. The other account was playing in the same tourney (possibly even dumping chips, colluding, etc).

According to an email that was posted on RGP, for this tourney they're bumping everyone up one spot. So whoever it was that finished in 2nd, now finishes 1st and gets the extra $10K associated. I don't know if this has been confirmed as being legitimate yet or not though.

This does cause concern for me however. Nikki & I OFTEN play MTTs together. We've NEVER ended up on a table together (except in that one TP event) and we're so competitive with each other we wouldn't tell each other shit. In fact, we'd probably go out of our way to bust the other person out . But we could easily be seen as colluding on these games. For this reason, even though I'm pretty sure you guys all trust us, she's not going to crash the last league event since I'm playing for position. Well, hopefully if any questions ever do arise about our play, we'll be able to answer those questions to the satisfaction of the company involved.

No, TP i was not in this tourny.

And... sorry for using the word "fag" to bunny and Meloris and whoever else... I honestly didnt even think about it or realized i typed it. I have no problem with gay ppl at all, i think that is prob. the first time i used that word on this forum in all 1,000 of my posts, and i wont use it again.

I'm perfectly happy to have N1k play in the final league event, but it's probably better that she doesn't. While I trust you guys, if you were to win, there could potentially be controversy, etc, etc. Then again, who's to say that Aeq and pshabi haven't been on AIM together every time pshabi has backed Lou to play in the league with us, so Lou could dump all his chips to pshabi so he could win the $50 bet he and I have? Hmmmmmmm....

I think it would be fine if she played, but it's up to you.

On a more important note, you and N1k may want to proactively contact the poker sites about your playing in MTTs together, if you haven't already... just in case.

Thanks, JD. I knew you didn't mean any offense by it, but thanks for the apology and for saying you will try to be more aware of it in the future. I think that's all anyone could ask of you.
