We actualy have a number of people (well, a handful) who stuck around after the freerolls, and I'm really glad they did.
I have no problem giving money away (look for a nice promotion or two in April), but I don't think unrestircted freerolls are how to do it. They caused way too much havoc and all to often end up rewarding people who add nothing to the forum. |

Can you set up private tourneys freerolls on stars that DON'T have prize pools? What about different games (omaha, PL, limit, H/L)?
What I was thinking was essentially what we did with the TPF League but instead have no buyin/no prize tourneys that get points toward the freeroll prize pool for top3-4 points leaders. This is the format being adpoted by some other freeroll league sites to make it not worth the time of crashers (even if they crash they still would have to come back and place in more than one to get points to get money). If you wanted to put up a prize for a freeroll, you could pay out the overall prizes instead and then everyone could play that is interested. We could also check and see if we can get a site to GIVE up a freeroll to get signups (now that we have more posters). That tends to be the untested sites though....
