Default $5 HORSE Tourney Reminder...

Just a reminder to everyone that our final Event is Thursday night (tonight, by the time most of you read this) at 9:30 PM. We're going to be playing HORSE and the buy in is just $5+.50. Maybe we can even get a low stakes tourney cash game going as people get knocked out of the tourney.

So whether you're in the league or not, come on out and play - everyone is welcome. Let's try to get a really big turnout, so there are lots of points up for grabs.

It LOOKS like the Top 4 spots are secure (their order most definitely is not), but pretty much anyone with ANY points right now could still get into the TOC with a win, if we have enough players. Here are the current standings:

My position is quite tenuous, so I'll HORSE around tonight.

I'm in. But be warned. I played in a $1.10 HORSE tourney last night on stars, and cashed for $2.21! Thats right....thats like .37/hr.

Thats not an amount they like to give out.

I'd be in for any post-tourney cash games people will be playing in. Keep me posted. I usually get home around 10:45ish.

There is currently a 60% chance that I won't be late for the tourney (because of clouds, oddly enough):

You never know though... They usually don't decide until the last minute, which will be really annoying if they keep bumping it back 10-15 minutes over and over all night.

5 minutes left (plus late registration). We have 16 players so far - let's try to get 20!

I'm gonna be late. I expect you all to fold to my BB out of respect.

In troubled times like these, I like to turn to the wisdom of Napoleon:

I don't remember the hand, but jamming a rivered 2 pair into a couple of lows is not usually a good idea in stud8 unless you have a good enough count on the dead cards to really believe nobody rivered trips or better.

Highs that are not the nuts or close to it have to play passively on the river. On the other hand, if you obviously have the only low and have rivered 2 pair or better, you can jam 'til the cows come home.

Not to mention at the time Eejit was playing tighter than the Rock of Gibraltar waiting for Mayhem to crash out. I'm no fan of his, but...I just don't see it.

Which makes it doubly funny how Boobie ended up taking the whole thing.
