Unhappy Starting Over. *cries*

Here's MY deal.

Within the last week I've recieved the following bills in the mail:
-car insurance
-credit card
-cell phone

Yikes!

I realized that I no longer have money in my bank account (read: still a broke student - I don't have a job yet) and my poker bankroll is basically all the money to my name.

Not only do I have to deal w/ the bills above, I have numerous expenses as a result of taking the PA + NJ bar exams: criminal history checks, fingerprints, driver's abstracts, hotel reservations, BLAH BLAH fucking BLAH.

The smart thing to do was withdrawal the poker money, pay my bills, etc. But, the devil, who looked alot like Brian, told me to sit at 15/30 and 30/60 to make up the money in no time. Hmmm. I withdrew the money.

Yikes!

I realized, after withdrawaling, I had $29 left on Pokerstars and $30 left on Noble. It is with THIS money that I will rebuild my bankroll. LOL.

Well, Noble didn't go so well. Starting at 10c/25c, I ran into things you would expect to run into with your back against the wall: A-high flush when I have the K-high flush, set over set, and QQ losing to slowplayed AA. There goes my Noble money.

Stars is going a little better ... starting with $29 two days ago, I played about 4 hours and I'm up to $115. I'm playing one table 10c/25c and one table 25c/50c (eek!).

THIS SUCKS.

Fuckin bills.

I can't wait to get a job, get my life in some kind of recognizable "order" and have a bankroll again. Or, maybe I can turn this $115 into something nicer ... and if I build another bankroll w/out going broke (this time from $29), you guys realize how much BIGGER my head will be, right?

*sigh*

I came up with an interesting idea for a friendly competition the other day... and this thread goes right along with it.

New thread coming soon.

I think I know where you're getting at...

but still, the words "friendly competition" have no place on a poker forum .

Thanks. It's frustrating beyond belief for many reasons. One, I hate playing these small limits. Two, a "big pot" is close to $20. WTF! Three, it takes so long to actually build. RRRRrrrrrrrrr.

The good part about it is that I'm much stronger of a player than I was a year ago. Even 6 months ago. Hopefully, the "building" process won't be too painful.

Oh - and this is a GREAT time to take advantage of Party, Empire, and PokerNOW w/ their reload bonuses. I'll be on the lookout.

I feel your pain... studying for and taking the Florida bar was the worst month of my life!! All a distant memory now though. Best of luck with your job search and let me know if you want any friendly advice or if you have any questions.

I have been able to jump levels pretty successfully lately by simply making percentage bets. However, I have gone back down to 25NL and when I raise 3BB with AQo in 1/2 or 2/4 NL .75 cents just doesnt seem to cut it...

GL with that role, it is doable. Just have to be patient and learn how to punk the fishes without getting burned.

With all this talk about building a bankroll, it has me possibly thinking about doing the same, except maybe leaving $500 in Neteller for the $100 Party and Empire bonuses, those are too easy to give up.

Anyway, I personally think the best way to build is thru Interpoker. Monthly match bonus, $90, so that should be your best route.

I remember starting out with $100 last summer and busting (stupid hold em). I then played an online casino that gives you free money, played some Pai Gow, won $100, cashed out, and $3000 later, the rest is history. I started playing $0.25/0.50 limit O8 at UB, and now that I am thinking about it, that site wasn't that bad either. Tough bonuses to clear but every hand I was getting points and making nickel here, dime there, this is the true way to build a bankroll.

Damn, I think I'll do it. I'll withdraw money, put it under the mattress, and start all over.

Just gotta wait for ther next UB reload.
