The SPAM Section.
TP:
Help me understand. You ask people to keep spam in the spam section... but when they post there, you delete the links in their post... So why even have it? Always curious,

Actually, and I can see how this isn't clear from your perspective, I only delete their links when they post in the WRONG section and I have to move it to the SPAM section. If they post it in the right place, fine, but when they make me clean up after them, their links get removed and they get -Rep. Repeat violators and abusers get banned. Make sense?
Maybe in the future I should add a comment about moving the thread to the SPAM section or something. |

Also, as for why even have the section: If we didn't, there would be SPAM all over the place and I'd have a LOT more posts/threads to delete.
I certainly didn't make the section because I like SPAM. I made it to help keep the poker sections clean. |

Yeah, but then we'd also lose all the witty replies from Reel Deal and the likes that happen before I see the thread. I suppose that's not really taking much away from the forum, but you have to admit, someone posting and asking for directions about how to get across Russia - that's good stuff.

Since August 1, there have been 4 threads created in the Spam section.
Not really ALOT, but I guess it's close.

Better statistic: There are 14 PAGES of SPAM threads in the spam section (not including crap that's been deleted). The main poker section has 118 pages.
Do you really want > 10% of the threads in there to be complete junk??? Just settle yourself down, bud. I got this. |
