Default Boobie...

Mmmm, boobies. Oh, sorry. Um, yeah.

Boobie Lover: You, sir, have quite possibly shown the most imporvement in your game around here over the past couple of months. $30k in August is damn impressive. So, if you don't mind, please share a few things with us:

1. If memory serves, YOU were the one who lost 8 buy ins ($2800) in one night a couple of months ago, yes? I'll assume that was just one of those sick variance things and not you playing badly, yes? Sure, maybe a little tilt, but mostly bad beats and second best hands, right?

2. How have you changed your game from a few months ago until now? I realize you are playing on Bodog and love it, but how else? Surely you have changed your play as well. Have you loosened up preflop? Are you more or less likely to make the "big call" when you have vulnerable hands like TPTK and so on?

3. More specifically, how do you PT numbers look now? When I ventured into NL cash games in the beginning of July, I posted my numbers and you replied that you are a weak/tight 26/16 or something like that (a good bit tighter than me). And I just can't believe you are having the success you are having now without opening your game up. So what do your new numbers look like?

4. You prefer 6 max to full right, right? I do as well, but why do you?

5. Do you have a day job, or are you playing poker full time now?

6. How old is the Lover of Boobies? Where ya from?

Feel free to ignore any or all of those questions, but I'd love to know the answers to some of them, and I'm sure I'm not alone. Your recent success is inspiring, and if I could just make some more time for poker, I'd really like to get right up there with you and JD in the coming months. I'm confident I can do it...

1. Yes, I was the one that lost 8 buy-ins at 400 NL. I lost two of them due to tilt, but the others were just variance. Actually, around that time frame, I lost about $6K at 400 NL and was seriously considering withdrawing all my money from poker. Luckily though, due to being a bankroll nit (at least 50 buy-ins for a level) and winning the $25K guarantee tournament at Bodog, all seemed to go well again.

2. I attack weakness far more often than I did before. Before, if I got played back at all and I had nothing, I would surrender. Now, if I see a person making a weak bet on a board that shouldn't, that usually is just a signal of an information bet with second pair and I'll try to push them off their weak holding.

Also, I notice how long a person takes to make a decision in the hand. Most people believe that there are no online tells, and I am glad they believe this. If a person purposely times himself down a couple of seconds before calling or raising, they typically have a much better hand than normal. If they just quickly call, they have a weak hand or a draw and I'm firing another barrel at them unless they just love calling down with any pair.

3. Surprisingly, my numbers at PT since August 1st look even more tight than they did before.

This is mostly due to me only playing at the PT supported sites when Sixth Sense says the game is spectacular. When the game is awesome, playing LAG against that moron isn't optimal. I play LAG or TAG on the table dynamics. If I know the people are all weak-tight, I'll run them over. If I know that they are all huge calling stations, I'll sit back and wait.

4. Yes, I prefer 6max to full ring. The reasons why I prefer them to full ring is that more fish play at shorthanded tables than full ring, there are more marginal situations brought up which improves my game every time I'm faced with it, and more hands per hour = more money for me.

5. Currently, I am playing poker as my full time job.

6. I am 19 and have lived in South Dakota my whole life.

Hmmmmm ... two of the best players on this forum aren't even out of their teens.

Why does this suddenly feel like the NBA Draft?
