Default $250 Freeroll for TP members - 11/30/06 9:30 PM

Feel free to not read this first section, as it's just background on where this freeroll is coming from, in case anyone cares: As some of you may have noticed, has been promoted fairly heavily in the SPAM section for the last few months. I know some members here got a little bit annoyed by this, myself included. I don't mind the spam so much (they were posting it in the right section, unlike 90% of the spammers who come here and get instabanned), but what I won't tolerate are people making multiple accounts, pretending to be different people, and having conversations with themselves. This happened a couple of times, resulting in numerous bannings and finally a PM to DreamPoker (the only account I didn't ban). Turns out Conrad is a decent guy, and felt badly for the excessive spamming. He says the only posts he made were under his account and the others must have been other people from his office. Whether this is true or not doesn't really matter. What matters is that he promised to put a stop to it and offered us a $250 freeroll as sort of an apology and a "Let's start over - come check out our site" type thing. Who am I to turn down a $250 freeroll???

OK, here are the details:

Name displayed in Tournament Lobby: Talking Poker Freeroll
Tournament ID : 656329
Tournament Type: Free Roll
Game: Hold'em
Limit: No Limit
Description displayed in Tournament Lobby: Welcome to the Talking Poker Freeroll. This event is exclusively for the members of Talking Poker. The prize pool is $250. A password is required to enter. Good Luck!!!

Poker Room(s) :
Start Date and Time : Thu 30/Nov/2006 - 9:30:00 PM ET
Registration Start Date and Time : Tue 28/Nov/2006 - 12:00:00 PM
Registration is now open: The tourney can be found under Multi-Table Tournaments/Special
Guaranteed Prize Amount : $250.00
Tournament Password: Will be posted here sometime after registration opens, but most likely not until just before the tourney begins.

The password is:
rutalking2me

In the mean time, go ahead and get your accounts created on (if you don't have them already) and check out the site. BTW, they have a $10 free promotion just for creating a new account - no deposit required!

I think when I signed up a long time back you had to email them after sign-up then they would credit your account in 72 hours.

Nice gesture. Unless I have obligations on the 30th, I don't mind taking this down. Are we going to be able to withdrawal? LOL.

Well, with this gesture, I'm willing to try them out for a bit. And I will be there for the freeroll.

Hi Guys,

Please be sure to read our freeroll T&C before doing any withdrawals.

You can view them here.

Simply:

1. You need to be a real money player, having made at least a $20 purchase.
2. Play 25 raked hands which is easy to do, even for me.

Once those play through requirements have been met our cashins division
will let your request go through.

It's really not hard at all.

Sounds like fun, I don't mind getting my ass handed to me by you guys at hold-em.

Get ready for dozens of new underage members posting here closer to tourney time and wanting to play

For those who haven't opened accounts yet, make sure you leave yourself enough time to do so. It takes a few minutes. Clicking on my link should be enough to tie you to me, but if it asks you for a referral, I'm Rogue23.

Thanks.

I'm planning on posting the tourney password sometime on Thursday... probably not long before the tourney begins. Anyone wil 1000+ posts or someone who is a trusted "regular" here (you know who you are), feel free to PM me in advance for the password.

The tourney can be found under Multi-Table Tournaments/Special/Talking Poker Freeroll.

For those who are having trouble reading the first post in this thread that explains everything, here is the important part:

-----
Tournament Password: Will be posted here sometime after registration opens, but most likely not until just before the tourney begins.
-----

And for those of you brand new people who have been PMing me asking for the password, no, you can not have it in advance.

I really don't see what is so difficult to understand.

They never do.

Sadly, this is usually a good thing for us, as you can probably tell from the quality of their posts.

OK, the amount of brand new people who keep PMing me and asking for the password is getting out of control. If this continues, I may start banning these people, and then they won't be able to view this thread to see the password tonight, right before the freeroll starts.

Just freaking relax and check here a a little while before the tourney starts. Damn.

Last warning.
