Default Good day for poker

ok so im not trying to brag even though Im a world champion but I deposited $50 into full tilt for something to do. Well I found out I actully need that money this week so I withdrew it a couple hours later and had about $8 left on there well I got into a all in at a crappy change table and ended up with about $29. Well now I took this to 2/4....I know not good bankroll for it but I was either going broke or winning alot. Well about 30 minutes playing these idiots that kept overplaying their TPTK and I have about $ 110. Yippie I have a mini roll. Now im playing .25/.50 and some micro NL, I really want to build this roll high so playing the best i can.

Ill take the over, if I was gettin cards like that and I went broke after 16 hours, I would definitely be kinda peeved lol

On a side note, nice plays, I liked the call with A-q, was semi-risky but definitely a play you had to do.

Well since you dont know me very well let me update you. I have a real bad habit of playing way above my bankroll, lost 2k in one night because of this. That is why I get the nice comment from Chip, latley ive been doing alot better controling it but every once in awhile I still slip up.

I personally don't like the AQ play at all. Rather than call ALL the way through a hand with TPgoodK, wouldn't you put a raise in there and find out where you are at? If your intention was to see it down a raise while it was cheap might have got you a free card when the bets doubled on the turn...

I wouldn't have raised here. "Finding out where you're at" is a very power thing, but in this situation, I don't think it would have done him any good. He was first to act, so if he bets out, and is raised, he'll probably still call w/ TPgK ... I would. If he check-raises, and both players flat call, he's not in too much better shape b/c now he's gotta lead out on the flop.

What information did he gain by raising?

Oh, and being first to act would probably make it hard to do a free card play. Checking from first position on the turn after check-raising the flop is a huge sign of weakness. If his opponents had any wherewithall, they would bet into him to "see where they were at."

I absolutely HATE reading these hand histories. Again, sorry I thought he lead into you on the flop....

AEQ, right on both points. Neither would really work being first to act.

Lou, with all due respect, GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR FUCKING ASS!!!!

Your brain has to be warped from all the studying. This isn't NL. I'm not sure what "free card" he would be wanting here. He doesn't wanna give free cards so why would he take one? That hand was played terribly.

Pre-flop: fine

Flop - Bet. Let's say ChokeaBitch isn't a total donkey (I know, unlikely) and raises his Ace. Okay, you don't get the 2nd customer, most of the time but he stays because after looking at the action, he probably had a flush draw. You call and you've got gained 4 bets now. Worst case scenario is he doesn't raise and you get 2 bets. You're getting 4 small bets (2BB) here with the draw in.

Turn - If he raised on the flop, you can check here. He bets, flush draw calls, RAISE!!!!!!! Wow, they both call. You've just made another 4 BB.

River - Lead, call, fold. Another BB.

So, I would've made 7BB POST FLOP playing it that way. Brian made 4.

Limit is about maximizing your value when you've got the best hand. Not pussyfooting around trying to "feel."

Hmm. I still like my play. Can anyone else support or deny Shabi's comments?

And yea, my brain is in rough shape.

I think both plays have their + and - about them. Shabi play seems to maximize profit if you sure you have the best hand. Lou is basicly to protect your money when your not sure you have best hand.

the best play for me I believe is Lou's as I knew nothing about player at the time.

See, I always assume I'm playing with Donkeys until I have a reason to believe otherwise.

No matter what you believe, letting that 3rd man just call along and not making him pay with that flush draw is not the correct play long run.

Wall time or poker time? If it's wall time, I'll take the over (chances are he won't play much in the next 16 hours), but it's it poker time, I'll take the under.

Haven't read the HH yet, but it sounds interesting. I'll check it out tomorrow sometime...

Shabi, say what you like, I am now convinced you are from Compton .

So anyway, I'm dating a girl that lives in the hood now, any idea what the best way would be to dodge some bullets.

By the way, "hood" in Canada means that they've had a "negro" siting in the last 24 hours.
