something im doing
ok not gonna do this until around Febuary but thought id run it by you all just to get feedback.
Ive said before Im the worst cash game player but seem to do well in sit and go's and torney's. So sitting at work yesturday talking to my buddie I came up with a sort of a plan. I want to get back into poker but I dont want to jump on the cash games and just blow any money I put on. so my buddie and I had the idea of just playing sit and go's and tornies....pretty obvious idea but hey we were bored. So I downloaded a spread sheet program to track all this. Now I have a very very strict bankroll managment for this and this is what I want comments on. im starting with $200. $0-$100 = $1 and $2 buy in tornies and up to $1.50 sit and go's $100- $400 = $5 MTT tornies (not rebuys), $3 MTT and $5 sit and go's either multi or single. $400-$1,000 = $20 MTT, $5 rebuys and $20 sit and go's either multi or single Ok those might sound super strict for some but I think for me its fine. It also means that busting out will be alot harder. Gonna post what my spread sheet looks like so far and let me know if you think it needs any extra info that would help me track better. I also have pokertracker but I like the idea of using this spreadsheet also....picture below. when you click on picture, click it 2nd time to make larger to read the info. First, you need to spell "tourney" right
Seriously thouhg, I have a very similar spreadsheet that I use to track my tourneys. I don't like how PT tracks them (maybe I do it wrong, but it seems like to much of a pain in the ass for me), so I do it myself. And this gives me very nice numbers to use at the end of the year for taxes too... Here are the columns I use: Site | Date | Entrants | Finish | Buy In | Winnings | Net BTW - I use 3 differnet sheets for MTTs, SNGs, and HU play. That way, you can come up with some meaningful statistics for each type of tourney, if you like... % ITM, ROI, etc, etc... |

And btw - tracking one's results is a very good habit to get into, and not just for tax purposes. It's a trait that (most) winning players have and (most) losing players do not.

thanks, yea I like the idea of having 2 different ones for MTT and S&G, I wont be playing HU just yet want to concentrate on these two at the moment. I like your columns so might have to copy them. thanks. |

SNG spreadsheet
This is the best SNG spreadsheet I've been able to find, it automatically updates everything from ROI and ITM, to which days of the week you win the most.
