If you can beat that hand, shouldn't you be getting as many chips in the middle as you can?
This is Limit isn't it?

not happening sir
in limit you arnt gonna get them to lay this down. AJ with a ace high flop they will check/call you to the river. No limit its a totally differnet story but in limit they are running it and sometimes they will even run it to the river with no A or J on the board and fold on the river if they dont pair up. Thats just the nature of limit.

So you are asking if it is possible to "bluff" these players then.

Do you mean is it possible to get them to fold it if they miss the flop, or if they hit and have top pair or two pair or something? I don't tink I understand the question.
You say they never lay it down, but how do you know that? You only see their cards when they call you down. All the times they fold, you don't get to see their cards, but they certainly could have these hands, not just 72o. |

im talking about bluffing these players, when they miss. all i know is everytime i put someone on this hand im 100% correct... but they still dont lay down when they have nothing (which is why i value having any piece of the community cards because i know ive got it) its just frustrating because they wont lay down nothing!

I can't explain why bad players won't lay down high Aces ... even if they've missed the flop, but I can offer you some advice:
1. When you put your opponent on a hand like these, and you realized that they missed the flop, simply don't bluff ... your experience tells you it doesn't work, so stop! ESPECIALLY when the flop is rags. Your opponent is thinking, "Oh, well I have high cards, if I hit, I'll most likely win." (And he's usually right, in that respect.) 2. Following up w/ #1, it's tough to bluff people in low limit poker. Until you go up in limits, tighten up and bluff less. You should also slowplay less, and value bet more. It's a good strategy for lower-limit holdem.

Exactly. If you are up against someone that won't fold, stop trying to bluff them! Rather, make them pay to call you down when you have them beat.

yeah i dont bluff them anymore, its just frustrating to sit there and watch someone call my check-raise with ace high...

It shouldn't be frustrating. It should be encouraging. That's a player you WANT to play with.
