Default How about Quads??

Was a thread earlier about "How many times have you had a Royal". What about quads? I love flopping them, but it is even better getting it on the river. Last night I flopped a set of 3's 10/20 6 max, turn brought a flush with a bet and a call before it got to me. I call with my 10 outs to a big hand and the river brings the 4th to the suuit with my lovely 3. Funny thig was, I lead out and it was eventually capped with 3 players on the river. I've had quads countless times, but that was one where the action was plenty. It was a 26 bet monster, not a bad pot for a 10/20 6 max.

Well, I've seen countless quads, but that is because I play O8B and a lot of times the pair is already in my hand before the flop.

Yeah!
This is one of the things I have to get rid of before I play live....Every time I flop quads I'm sitting there with a pocket pair hoping for a set, then up come those beutiful quads, and I (literally) jump back in my chair. Might be a tell live, you think???

This was one sweet hand. ALMOST as sweet as my recent experience with quads:

I once got quads twice in an hour in a tourney (pct 3's then pct 4's). And I got paid off both times, I have yet to get a royal but for now if quads is all I get I'll take 'em.

I seem to remember getting quads 2 hands in a row, quad 8s and then quad 3s I believe playing low limit omaha, actually just learning how to play at micro-limits.

1 other thing I remember is picking up a pair of jacks, rag rag, folding. The flop came J J K, I was like damnit as the pot grew and grew and grew. Turn was rag, and then on the river, a king. Someone turns over quad kings and takes the pot. I thanked my lucky stars on this hand, I probably would have gone broke.

Craziest thing I've ever seen in poker..... At the Borgata Open earlier this year, the guy sitting to my right got QUAD 6s two hands in a row. Not just QUADS two hands in a row, but QUAD 6s!!!

I suspect I will never see something like that again.

I got quads last night. Dealt pocket 8s in the big blind. Only the small blind called so there was only one person that saw the flop. Got a set on the turn, no bet from the small blind so I slowplayed it. Turn was another 8. Again no bet from small blind. River was an A but again no bet from small blind. I made a small bet hoping small blind was holding an A and would raise so I could re-raise but small blind folded. Damn - quad 8s and all I win is one bet.

Playing at the Taj in Atlantic City a guy at my table had quads two out of three hands, got up and went for a walk. No way in hell I get up from that seat till they change dealers on me and I get the phone number of that last one

Default Chris Moneymaker

I was watching Moneymaker play a tourney last night on stars... he was down to like 800 and went allin with 67s.... Teecoy calls him with TT and flop was T6x... turn was a 6.... river 6. it was pretty unreal. The funniest thing is that Chris said he wasnt watching and walked away from the computer after he went allin then found out he hit quads.

I had quads once in a NL game, but cripples my stavk in the previous hand in the cash games...so I couldn't squeeze anything out of it. Just a small double up. Once got runner runner straight flush, to take out a person who flopped a house, why do they slowplay it so much lol.

i have only had quads when playing omaha.

the last time i was at foxwoods, playing low limit o8b, there were quads three hands in the row at the table. all of them were runner runner, and all of them beat very strong hands on the flop. there was some serious bad beat bitching going on.
