Default SI Article

I don't know how many of you recieve Sports Illustrated, but there is an article in the latest one about Internet Poker and its widespread affect on college students. It goes on about "Danny" who is up 50k since the beginning of the year yadda yadda. Then it goes the the bad part, where some dude "Joe Blow" is 50k in debt and owes friends 9k here and 9k there from cash advances of their credit cards. Obviously since this part is last and the article ends with the negative this is what they want you to notice. I have also seen similar specials on Sportscenter in the last couple of months.

Frankly, I'm tired of hearing about gambling being an addiction and a problem. Those who are addicted (like me) and have a serious problem (i.e. in debt, not me) just are not growing on trees. There are many other problems that affect college students much more commonly than poker.

Just wanted to know if anyone else had seen the article or was sick of the media attention that has happened lately.

By the way there was interesting info about online poker sites given from , check it out.
