10 days into The Party/skin split
And Party seems to be doing just fine, with 58k players online right now. Meanwhile, Empire issued a profit warning today

they are also offering a major reload with 100% max up to 300 but 20x raked hands to clear... GL to anyone who tries that and may god have mercy on their souls.

how much traffic has there been at empire/eurobet/etc since the split?
the player pool probably has a similar profile as that of party, so i would assume that the games are just as good (at least at the lower limits), but that the major change would be a significant drop in the number of games available. has anyone put it significant time there since the split? just curious as to what the change in game conditions are, and if even with a 20x playout it would be worth it to play there for the bonuses. |

Ive heard the empire games are rock gardens with all the players just being people who are trying to clear a bonus.

i thought that might be the other possibility.
looks like party made a good move, as they should scoop up most of the customers that were playing on the skins anyways. not as i fthey werent the 800 pound gorilla of online poker anyways. |

I'm actually surprised that Empire's numbers are "only" down 10% as a result of this. I suspect they will continue to drop...

Empire
I never like Empire simple because they never change or innovate. Maybe by buying into Titan they are doing some of that. Party added Bad Beats, nice tourneys, great overlays, and Empire had nothing going for it except the same old player pool. So good luck to Party. They deserve to be best.

I find Empire tougher now...
I continued to play 5/10 and 10/20 short-seated at Empire and the games are tougher now. I played more 10/20 - i found i was seeing at least 2 of the same good players everytime i woudl sit down at a table. It went from a six-seated game consisting of two horrible players, two below-average, me and maybe one better than me to 0-1 horrible players, 0-1 below-average and the rest as good as or better than me. I also found that my old "straight forward style" no longer worked vs these better players. I started making adjustments, but then i started thinking - why bother? Why not continue to play the games with the weaker players.......
