Ok, first of all, AWESOME HAND. Now for my dirt. I raise much more than a mini-raise preflop with KK. I would start by making it $1, even in shitty position. I don’t really like the check on the flop, either. After a preflop in which you raise, someone reraises you, and you re-reraise checking the flop just screams “I HIT” to me. I think you have to make the standard CB on the flop, especially with the spade draw. Just calling the turn was the right move, and the monster raise on the river wasn’t bad. But if you are going to do a big raise like that, consider pushing. For some reason, I think you get called more when you push than when you make a big raise at these levels. |

the minraise and the flop check were just me changing things up a bit. I'd been playing big hands very aggressively all night and was just trying to do something to keep people guessing. If a blank falls on the turn (rather than a miracle card) I was going to lead out for a sizable amount.
