HU retardaments...
In , I made a comment about HU tourneys being 50% luck. I was just picking a reasonable sounding number out of think air at the time, but I stand by that statement. Here is a fine example for you - two hands from the same match (there was a redonkulous hand before this too (hence stack sizes), but it and it's too annoying to look for it now):
Full Tilt Tournament game, buy-in $200 + 10 Heads Up Sit & Go (19047515), $10/$20 No Limit, 2 players Hand History by HERO (BB): T$890 Button: T$2110 Button postsHERO posts Big Blind T$20 Pre-flop: T Q (T$30) Button calls T$10 HERO checks Flop: Q 3 8 ($40) HERO bets T$30 Button calls T$30 Turn: Q 3 8 5 (T$100) HERO bets T$80 Button calls T$80 River: Q 3 8 5 3 (T$260) HERO checks Button bets T$240 HERO calls T$240 Button shows 2 7 Button wins T$740 with a flush Queen high Note that I had actually made a nice comback, since villain was a complete tool...
