i don't think crazy's a strong enough word. I find it amazing how everyone in the bet got such high totals. Nobody had a bad month. I find the noah boeken part very interesting. I had no idea he was associated with marcel luske. That's insanse i only hope this happens again so i can watch part of it.

CardPlayer ran their version of this article a few month ago.
This is the part I find most amazing: I actually got the inside scoop on this whole thing while in the Bahamas. I got to talking to the guy who knocked bdawg out of the main event. Well, turns out he IS ThorLaden. And the guy he won the $100k off of is the kid they call Oz (he changed his Stars account since then too), who final tabled the main event. I don't remember if I posted about this kid already or not, but he's amazing. He's very down to earth - shy and a bit humble if anything - but he is an increadible poker player. I'm pretty sure he's only 18 now, and most everyone who is anyone (anyone who knows who he is) seems to agree that this kid is the real deal. I mean, we're talking potential to be Phil Ivey good here. Sick, isn't it? I guess we'll know in a few years. But think about that, he made a $100,000 bet STRAIGHT UP that one player would win the TLB. How in the world can someone make that bet? Crazy, isn't it? |

Never talked to him - esp. considering i can't chat.
But i've played alot of tournies with him. Hes in the $109 rebuy Alot and always seems to be doing good. I've been at his table a few times - and was sure to avoid him.

Yeah, good call. He's GOOD.
Meanwhile, Thorladen was just at my table in the Full Tilt tourney a few minutes ago. By the time I noticed him, he was being moved to another table... but we had enough time for a couple of quick hellos. SamENole just took his seat. Small world, I tells ya. |
