Default Watch out Justin Bonomo! (My own experiment)

What's a good ROI for $30+3 SNGs?

Because mine is 318%!!

Heh so I play mostly NL50 but decided that I want to start playing SNGs and hopefully some big MTTs pretty soon, and thought that I'd do my own $33 experiment, playing as many as I can, and keeping records.

So far I've played 5 SNGs on Party, and here’s how they went:

2nd, 1st, 1st, 1st, 1st! I’ve definitely never had a run like this. But maybe I’m the best player in the world. Actually, I fully expect to now play 15 in a row without cashing. I don’t have a goal as far as a certain number played, but we’ll see how it goes. I also don’t have a whole lot of time to play them, since I’m a pretty busy full-time student, but hopefully I’ll get in at least 1 a day.

1 question for those of you that multi-table. I’ve done it with cash games, but think it would be more complicated for tourneys. How many tables do you play, and how hard is it to keep up with different blind levels, etc? I 2-tabled the last 2 and was fine, but once I put in a preflop reraise with T7o b/c I had KK on the other table. So anyway, input is appreciated.

And yeah, since I’m netting $105 per SNG, watch out for me at the big game pretty soon.

I have heard of pros multitabling the SnG's, I don't because I feel reading people is important when you get shorthanded at them. Just me though.

Nice numbers! I'm pretty sure "5" is a significant sample size too. LOL...

I don't really play SNGs much any more, so I can't really answer your other questions. I was all set to do a 100 SNG experiment of my own (for starters) to see how my numbers would shake out, but I went back to my favorite game (6 max limit) recently and have been KILLING it, so I can't justify playing anything else right now.

Wait until you guys see the numbers I've put up clearing this latest Party bonus...

Default I'm doing the same thing..

in fact I asked alot of the same questions here
and I posted some of my stats here

If your comfortable 4-tabling cash games I haven't experienced to much difficulty in 4-tabling sngs. I finished ootm 12 sngs in a row which can really shake your confidence. I think one of the most important things that you can do is keep detailed records, I'm using this spreadsheet ( its New 500..) in conjunction with PT to figure out how I'm doing.

I don't really even think that 200 sngs (much less 5) has much statistical validity in figuring out ROI or ITM although it should give you an idea. There are a ton of excellent sources for sngs online but very few available in print, if your serious about doing this I highly recommend spending some time doing research. GL bro these things can be very swinging don't let it shake you.

In all seriousness, I would guess 1000 SNGs would be a reasonable number to start drawing some conclusions. But DAMN, that is a LOT of poker time.

It would definitely take me FOREVER to play 1000.

But I played 2 today and didn't cash in either, so I guess I'll put off going pro for a while.

Unless you 12 table, then it's only like 65 hours. (sw)
