I don't know if any of you have time to jot down the first few things we should be using with this. Like new guy, im new at this, so all I am doing right now is importing hands while playing, should I be looking at more till I fiddle around with it more? Does everyone use those addons that display the numbers on the actual playing screen? And if so what is the name of it...thanks.

For the experienced user...
For those of you who have lots of hands logged and extensive databases, how do you make PT run more smoothly? Outside of the "one step compact" feature (or whatever it is) what can be done to make sure everything is in tip-top shape?
Sometimes I get frustrated with the program b/c I feel like it is too bulky.... Does anyone else feel that way, or is 1 gHz and 512 Ram just no good once the database reaches a certain size?

Mine gets pretty slow when it's importing HHs, even if it's only pulling in a few new hands and my DB is compacted. I think that's just the way it is. It can be frustrating when you want to see something and everything is "frozen" because there is an auto-import going on.
Still the best poker software out there. An absolute must for any serious online player. |
