Default $100 of Free Money in September!

I was hoping to get the kicked off this month, but it looks like we're going to push that back until October. So.... how about I give away some free money this month anyway???

Here is the breakdown:

1. $50 given away by YOU - We're going to have a vote to decide what three posters deserve free money. The breakdown wiill be $25, $15, and $10 based on the final voting, which will take place in a poll in a different thread. Nominations should be made in this thread. You may NOT nominate yourself, but you may nominate up to five other posters. In order to be nominated, the poster has to have made 100 posts by the time I post this thread, and they have to have GREEN Rep. Just one point of +Rep is enough - they just can't be negative (so sorry, eejit). Other than that, nominate whoever you want and for whatever reason you want. I'll accept nominations for about 48 hours, and set the poll up sometime Sunday night.

Current Nominees (from below):
-Aequitas58
-badblood44
-BlibbityBlabbity
-Boobie Lover
-ChipFish
-MathBabe
-N1kita
-pshabi
-Reel Deal
-Robbie Robb
-Spuddy
-Talking Poker
-Zybomb

2. $20 for getting your Aces cracked - Be the first person to post your Aces getting cracked in this thread, and you win 20 bucks. This must be on a site where anyone can request the HH to verify it - ie, Party, Stars, etc. This needs to be in a real money game (cash or tourney) - any buy in - and it needs to happen AFTER this thread is posted. So no, HHs from last night don't count.

3. $20 for dropping the HAMMER - Be the first person to post a Hand History where you win the pot with 72o, and you win $20. There's one catch to this one though - There HAS to be a showdown! In other words, you have to actually WIN with 72o, not just bluff with it by making a big raise preflop and picking up the blinds. I don't care if you check it the whole way down form the BB, but you have to actually win a showdown at the river to qualify. Once again, this must be a real money game (cash or tourney, any buy in) and it must be on a site where anyone can request the HH to verify it. And again, it needs to happen AFTER this thread is posted.

4. $10 to the two people named in the post below this one - Post the name of any other TP.com regular (keep reading) in the post below this one, and they win $5. And for being so generous, YOU get $5 too! Now THAT is easy money. To qualify for this, both you and the person you are nominating have to have at least 50 posts and Green Rep.

All money will be paid out via transfers later this month (Ideally, I'll pay it out all at once).

I think the funniest thing about the vote thing...the people with the most chance of winning the poll are people that spend $50 on a PFR from position in a random cash game.

I nominate RR for #1 because of his effort to update us during TP's run at the WSOP, for the sweet TP Radio idea and because they need diaper money.

Thanks RD! Much Appreciated!

I would, at this time, like to nominate the following people for contest #1.

My first nomination goes out to PShabi for taking the time to record requests and upload them for the forum to enjoy (even if we are still waiting on his cover of Everlast ). In addition to supplying us with musical entertainment, Shabi always seem to have his finger on the pulse of the forum and is usually right in the thick of any thread.

My second nomination goes out to MathBabe for providing her songs as well for our listening enjoyment.

Both of these members make the forum much more enjoyable.

Wait, don't we already have one person on the forum that's run away with the money?!?!? I don't want to be in that company! (sorry, couldn't resist - I'm in one of those cheeky moods and I'm writing the script for episode 2)

But thank you to you and hiimbob for your words! They mean a lot to me!

Three people that deserve some $$$$ love.

Robbie Robb for the Radio show.
Zybomb for his analysis of the game that has vastly improved my game.
Badblood44 for linking to this forum from his blog allowing me to find this goldmine.

Okay, I've had a bit more time to think about the nominations and I'd like to round out my five with the following - all for furthering my game through analysis of various hands across numerous threads:

Zybomb - Arguably this man spends a LOT of time providing feedback to 'WSIHPT' questions. And the analysis is usually spot on! You da man!
Boobie Lover - again, his contributions have helped me as well.

Finally, last, but certainly not least, is my initial nominator, Reel Deal. Part of the reason I'm nominating him, in addition to his valuable contributions here, but I figure HE'S gonna need the cash once Karma comes around and kicks him in the ass for his Ernesto thread .

I second the Badblood44 nomination, as that is how I found this place as well.
And I nominate Aeq for the his sexy (not the chick).

But come voting time, I vote for RR. Not only for the above mentioned reasons, but also because he had to go and learn English to do the radio thing. That level of commitment is awesome from a foreigner.

TP should also get the $5 thing, if it's still on

Beating a dead horse:

Robbie Robb deserves top prize for his efforts.

I've +repped Boobie Lover a shit ton in the last month because of the quality of his strategy posts. His contributions have been awesome and well thought out. Most improved poster. (Not saying you were shit before, BL).

Zybomb for consistently being the best poker-related poster.
