Alright, I've mentioned it before, I'm vacationing with my wife and kids in Vegas during Spring Break. Don't worry, my in-laws have made reservations for us at the time share and they'll be joining us. They've assured me a 24-hour babysitting service.

While I know I'll be spending a majority of my time playing poker, my wife doesn't play at all. I figure I'll throw her on the nickel/dime slots, but I don't know how long that will last?

Are there any cheap table games that are:

1) Exciting enough to keep her interested?
2) Low risk enough to not piss away all of my poker earnings?

Also, If anyone has any info as to where the hell I should be playing poker, I'd appreciate it.

I'll be playing mostly 5/10 or 10/20 limit hold em, but would like a $50 - $100 MTT as well. Any suggestions? I'm chomping at the bit here almost 7 weeks ahead of time, but I can't wait!

Anybody else going to be there from March 22 - 26? TP already promised to join me and stake me in a big-buy in tourney.

From what I hear, Pai Gow is supposed to be the hardest way to lose money in a casino (as far as table games anyway), and is the most fun to play.

Enjoy yourself man, I'm jealous.

If she doesn't want to think too much, the modern cheap video slots can be pretty entertaining for the cost, sorta like an arcade only with the (small) chance of coming out ahead.

Default Vegas picks

God I love Vegas.

For the MTT, people are reporting good things about the events at Caesars
()

Haven't played one myself, but lots of 2+2ers like the reasonable blind structure.

You can find mid to high limit action at MGM (a great room), Bellagio, Wynn, and Binions. I don't know about 10/20. I've seen lots of 5/10 and 15/30. I'm sure they spread something in between, but I can't remember seeing it for some reason.

For your wife, you might want to recommend other non-gambling activities. Vegas has every possible retail shop imaginable, and lots of crazy free attractions -- lions at the MGM, the Bellagio water show, etc. Other than that, Pai Gow is the way to go.
