Smile Outs and Drawing to Improve

Hi,

I am trying to put together a chart that cross references the number of outs related to pot odds and the drawing hands that go with them (ON THE FLOP).

Note: I am also including made hands that have a certain number of outs to improve. I have the obvious ones, but could you help me Identify...?

a) improving hands that have 10, 11, 13, and 14 outs
b) other hands that fit the other groups of outs

outs----------------hands

1---------trips to quads
2---------pair to trips
3---------to make a winning pair (when dominated)
4---------gut shot straight / 2 pair to a boat
5---------pair to 2 pair or trips
6---------unpaired to pair / trips to a full house
7---------trips to a full house or quads
8---------open ended straight or double gut shot straight
9---------flush draw
10--------
11--------
12--------gutshot straight flush draw
13--------
14--------
15--------open ended straight flush draw / pr with flush draw to make 2 pr trips or flush

Thanks for any help.

I'm assuming we're ignoring our opponent's hand, right? Also, do you want to count overcards that can improve to top pair?

Comments/additions below in bold:

That's a start for ya.

Default All outs are not equal

You are probably aware of this, but not all of these are true outs in all instances. For example, if any of the outs pair the board, the situation is very different.

While it's great to be thinking about the game, I'd suggest you make use the charts and the like that Slansky, Miller, etc. have already put together and take what you need from them rather than starting your own from scratch.

I "normal" rule of outs that I use is the following:

On the flop my number of outs X 4 = % to win in HU play only

On the turn my number of outs X 2 = % to win in HU play only

Try the math with cardplayer.com, it's almost bang on off a percent or two.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the help eveyone.

Yes, I am aware that making a hand does not always mean it will be the winning hand (paired board when hitting flush draw, etc.). I just wanted to be able to cross reference improving hands to # of outs to create a study reference.

Thanks also for the link.
