It took a while to complete, but I think it's safe to say the TalkingPoker.com Forum Heads Up Championship was a success:


So.................... anyone wanna do it again?

Here's what I'm thinking: Let's start the signup list now. We need 32 to run the event (well, 16 would work, but we can get 32 again), but this time, I think we should be a little more strict about no shows and that sort of thing. So let's get the signup list going. After we get 36 players (I think 4 alternates would be useful) signed up, I'll whip up the brackets, the schedule and so on and so forth. The rules will be very close if not identical to what they were last time (see above link), and once again, I'll kick in some cool prizes.

So, if you are interested in playing, please reply in this thread. I'm guestimating this tourney will kick off in October after I get back from Aruba, but it will depend on when we get our 36 players.

The alternates will most likely be the final 4 people to sign up barring weird circumstances, like Kurn (a former, extremely useful poster) emerging from the dead. If that happens, I'll bump the person with the least amount of quality of posts from the original 32. Nothing personal, of course, but the whole idea of this competition is that it is for TPF regulars. So, if you want to play, become a TPF regular!
