At what value does the jackpot have to be to be a good bet for people to be playing on these tables?

It's never really a good bet....
However, if you take into account the number of dreamers hoping to hit the jackpot, then I'd say whenever it gets up and over 330K.

I personally am not going for the jackpot, (although it would be nice).
I am going for the players at the jackpot tables....

I also tend to chat about how great it would be to hit the jackpot in the hopes it gets these players thinking about it and playing there 3-4suited to the river in the hopes of making that runner runner gut-shot straight flush draw.

Lol Chip that's pretty smart! Increasing your edge nicely lol.

So I asked in another thread how much more the rake is here... Nobody responded . Is it 1 percent more or what???

Cheers,

Gutzz

They take 50cents per raked hand... (Adds up bloody quickly).
On the other hand when you are getting 5-8 callers typically every hand, that adds up quickly too.

Default A two-part question

Part 1:
Q.At one point do the jackpot tables become +EV on the 1-in-a-million(?) chance YOU might win?
A. Beats me. I'd say probably never, because the odds of quad 8s or better being beaten are just so damn slim. Though obviously, it does happen if you have 20+ plus tables running non-stop 24/7.

Part 2:
Q. What point do the jackpot tables become +EV because of how wild they are?
A. For me, I think it is anytime it gets within spitting distance of 250k. At that point I notice the tables get more crowded, and people start playing a little less sensibly.

Interesting hand from the Bad Beat tables last night (early morning )
5/10 table

Some guy named Oneida366 or something like that joins the table and immediately starts bragging about how great he was for winning the bad beat jackpot last time. (His name was actually on the scrolling list too, he was one of the players seated at the table and won approx7-8 grand)
He had raised every time it was his turn and I didn't see an end to this strategy of his.

I held j-q in the sb and called the extra bet and a half with 6 callers and this Oneida guy.
Dream flop. 8-9-10 rainbow.
I bet first, 2 or 3 callers he raises I re-raise. (He was immediately to my right.)
everyone folds to him betting capped.
Turn 2 of the 4rth suit. (no flush possibility)
Betting capped.
River 6 (betting capped.)

I wished him luck in winning another jackpot as I could use his money.

I like him.

My line was this, "Am I supposed to be playing every suited connector? Don't wanna screw up the jackpot for everybody."

I think you can jump on these things at around 225k and be ready for lots of action.

Enthusiastic table chat does work, and also helps to quickly ID the fish by seeing who responds favorably to that sort of thing. Giving them the payout figures helps to get them worked up.

There is a that will figure it all out for you.

Simne you keep spamming this calculator, let me ask you a question about it... What do the "odds" represent, and how were they calculated?

Table_share_payout:Jackpot_collection_contribution
calculated as
table_share / (0.50/number_of_players_dealt_in)

Example: For a $100,000 jackpot with 9 players dealt in, the total table share is 17.5% or $17,500. The individual table share is $17,500/7 = $2500.
Each player's jackpot collection contribution is $0.50/9 = $.05555
Thus, the table share is paying 2500:0.05555 = 45000:1

By several analyses, the odds of being in a jackpot hand seem to be a few 100,000:1. Bless the players who chase these situations.
