god I hate pacific poker.

I put $50 on pacific the other day because Pokerstars didnt have any tornies starting anytime soon and pacific had a nice set of torneis comming up for the day. Ok well lets put aside it takes up to a week for a cashout and get right to the game.

about 30 minutes into the torney I check the lobby to see how I'am doing compared to the feild. 1st thing I noticed is no one was eliminated, not a single person I thought this was kinda weird seeing I saw at least 10 people busted out of my table alone. Lets check out how im doing againt the average chip size? biggest 1 average 1 low 1 , yep thats what it read wow thats stupid. Ok lets see how many tables left, WTF where are all the tables? The whole lobby has locked up, have no idea how many people are left or how im doing.

ok got out of that torney and tried to sign up for another one and it told me I couldnt because it would interfere with a torney im already in. How is that possible when im not signed up for a single torney?

the list goes on and on, this site is total junk. Im sticking to pokerstars!

Of course, if you can tolerate the annoying things there, they sure do have a lot of players. I met a guy at the WSOP who made $80,000 playing $15/30 games at Pacific last year. I only played there very briefly, but I remember thinking the games were incredibly soft.

Long story made short:

- Moneymaker in the WSOP and ESPN covering the shit out of it.
- Friends invite for a dealer's choice home game with a $5 buyin
- I google online poker and the first site that comes up is Pacific

That's how I started online and I crushed the .25/.50 and .50/1.00 games before I even had a clue how to play poker.

Players were so bad. However, lack of multitabling capability and repeated fuck ups during tournies and I quit that shit.

for a player like me that would rather play tournies then ring games the site is a complete waste. Whats more funny when I email them about depositing I get a response in like 5 minutes but when I emailed them to say their site is screwing up well 2 days and no response. Like I said I will stick to pokerstars until something better comes up.
