FTP Wrongful Restrictions
Hey guys, it's been a long time since I've posted on here. I check in periodically (at least once a week) but I haven't contributed forever. I've noticed some old timers coming out of the woodworks so I figured why not me?
I have a question. Has anyone had trouble with FTP wrongfully restricting their accounts lately? First of all, I have my original account that I've had for about 5 years and then my "step dad" made an account about 1.5 to 2 yrs ago (ahemmm, btw it's all legit info) that gets rakeback. My "dad" logged into his account and when he tried to get into rush poker and ring games it said it's been restricted from playing and to email them. Before they responded to his email, "he" tried to play again and it worked. When he got the email response FTP said they've looked at the account and there isn't any restrictions. Mmkay. No probs since. About a week ago a buddy I work with told me he logged into his account and when he did a message popped up that said he couldn't play because he lives in Washington. WTF? We live in Oregon. He's computer illiterate for the most part so I know he didn't do anything that would compromise the IP addy or something of that nature. As of this post he's still waiting to hear from FTP (it's been 4 days). Has anyone else encountered any of this bullshit? |

There have been complaints of people from outside WA being blocked because their ISP hasn't properly geo-located the IP address. So even though it's in OR, the IP addy traces back to WA. If this is what has happened to your buddy the only option would be to figure out who to talk to at his ISP to get them to correct the geolocation for the IP addy.

Correct... many reports of people having problems in OR, close to the WA border.
And in case you hadn't heard, online poker is banned in WA on both Stars and Tilt now. P.S. Welcome back. |
