Default Brag: Sunday Million Seat

So I just won a seat in the Sunday Million via the $11.70 DS. I'm pretty excited as I've always wanted to play the SM but have never been able to afford it. Though I've railed a lot of play in the SM, a lot of it was later in the game, and I'm interested to hear any tips for playing the first 2 hours. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Default Knocked Out :(

Well i got knocked out 2777th. I think I played well but I was getting the cold deck the whole time.

Here was my knockout hand:
PokerStars Tournament game, buy-in $200+15, Level VIII $400/$800 No Limit, 9 players
Hand History by

HERO (SB): T$14975
BB: T$13775
UTG: T$15600
UTG+1: T$37795
MP1: T$39480
MP2: T$49000
MP3: T$19050
CO: T$20890
Button: T$18120

Players post T$50 ante
HERO posts Small Blind T$400
BB posts Big Blind T$800

Pre-flop: A T (T$1650)
UTG folds
UTG+1 folds
MP1 folds
MP2 folds
MP3 folds
CO folds
Button raises to T$3200
HERO raises to T$14925
BB folds
Button calls T$11725

Flop: 7 6 8 ($31100)

Turn: 7 6 8 J (T$31100)

River: 7 6 8 J 6 (T$31100)

Button shows J K
Button wins T$31100 with two pair Jacks and Sixes

Not sure if there's any way I could have gotten away from this, as I have to believe I have the best hand or at least a decent draw against a low pair or something. But at this stage in the tourney, I had to do something and with less than 20 BB's left, I wasn't about to let the button bully me around, esp. when I get an A10suited which was one of the best hands I saw in the 2 hours I was in it.

Any thoughts?

Also, for the record, after playing the Sunday Million, I absolutely hate the structure they use. I guess it's the only way they can complete that big of a tourney in that amount of time but man is it a crapshoot! From about 1.5 hours it's a complete all-in fest. Not sure if I'll ever play the million again. Maybe when I can really afford it. Man I shouldve sold those T$, such a dumb move playing a donkfest like the SM. Oh well hindsight is 20/20, now I know to stay away I guess.

Sorry for the rant. That is all.

I understand being card dead and the pressure that mounts when that happens, but with 20BB left I'm not sure I'm putting my tourney life on the line with ATs (a hand that's easliy dominated). Just my .02 cents.
