Default Best times of day to play?

Has anyone had luck playing early in the day on weekdays at the big sites? I've played at both PartyPoker and PokerStars, and there seems to be lots of people on all the time.

It seems obvious that the looser players are the ones who come home after a night out drinking, and sit down to play an hour or two of poker. I usually play between 10pm and 1am EST to catch those people, but I'm often pretty tired myself.

I've got the morning off work tomorrow - will there be any use in me trying to find a loose table at PartyPoker at 9am on a Wednesday morning?

Default no worries

you will NEVER have a problem finding a loose table at Party Poker - especially at the lower limits.

I forgot to mention that... I've been playing .50/1 until I get my bankroll up to the point where I can move up!

Default then you should be okay

i can't imagine you will have any trouble finding loose (i.e. bad) players at that level at that time of day. I guess i can not say for sure - since i have not actually played that level at that time of day - but from everything else i have seen at Party, you should not have any trouble.

if you get on a table that seems tight with some decent players on it - figure its a fluke. Just get up and move to a different table.

I agree with PN. It's all about table selection. You can find good and bad tables 24/7. There may indeed be more good tables at the "best times," but there are still plenty of them at the worst times - at least on the big sites, like where you are playing.
