Poker Books
Hello Guys and Gals.
I have just finished reading a book Internet Poker by Lou Krieger, actually its the 3rd time I have read it through. It was a interessting read and some good but fairly basic ideas and information, it came with a cd rom of hands to play and how to play them ect. Anyway I found the stud and omaha H/L sections the most interesting and if the principles of the how to win chapters are followed to the letter they seem to work. I want to read another poker book but something a bit more brain taxing and with more stratigies and hand percentages ect. what would you folks recommend and why? Jim. |

If your just starting out I think "winning low limit hold em" by Lee Jones is a must read. If you want facts and stat then did up anything written by Mike Caro with the exception of his book on tells. He goes so deep into numbers I think I would rather go through geometry again.

Ken Warren teaches Texas Hold 'em is a good book with a great statistical section.

I would suggest this as well, it was my first book, and it got me started with a good basic strategy.
Lee Jones' book is priceless as well as an overall limit book. |
