Brag: He never saw it coming
Okay, I'll start off by saying, that I am not entirely happy with my big push, but I put this dude on top pair, and figured he would be likely to jump off a cliff with this.
This is also just about the single biggest pot I have ever won(top 3 at least) When he called though, I was praying that no more hearts would come. PokerStars Cash game, $0.10/$0.25 No Limit, 9 players Hand History by SB: $7.75 HERO (BB): $44.20 UTG: $24.85 UTG+1: $14.20 MP1: $6.65 MP2: $24.95 MP3: $23.65 CO: $32.10 Button: $28.85 SB posts Small Blind $0.1 HERO posts Big Blind $0.25 Pre-flop: 4 4 ($0.35) UTG folds UTG+1 folds MP1 folds MP2 folds MP3 folds CO calls $0.2 Button folds SB raises to $0.9 HERO calls $0.7 CO calls $0.7 Flop: 4 K 2 ($2.75) SB bets $0.7 HERO calls $0.7 CO raises to $1.9 SB calls $1.2 HERO raises to $42.4 CO calls $29.1 SB folds Turn: 4 K 2 7 ($78.05) River: 4 K 2 7 3 ($78.05) CO shows K A HERO wins $64.20 with three of a kind Fours

Meh, it worked. |

Gotta loe the overbet shove at these levels. Man, what a horrid call.

At these limits those overbets are called A LOT - I have not figured out why yet...

Ill take it one step further
I like the overbet at these limits bc AK is folding never and KQ/KJ arent likely folding either At the same time despite how odd it sounds, I think I like the call by AK here (with the A ) since most players at this level will slowplay sets and make this kind of bet with KJ/KQ or 2 hearts, and sets are all that worry him In a normal game both plays are idiotic however

I play this level the most and over 50% of the players will take that ak all the way. You gotta love it

This is definitely one of those plays that is level specific, and I am working at identifying as many of those characteristics of 25 max as possible, so I don't use them in better games.
Here is a question for everyone. What do you think is the highest level where AK is making that call on the flop more than 50% of the time?

I've never played below 1/2 (actually I think I played a little .5/1 at one point but I dont really remember) online, so Im not really sure. I say the .25/.5 level shouldnt be too much different than .1/.25.... maybe starting at the rest of the levels the 50% thing may not be correct, but there are still tons of players who will take TPTK to the extreme at 1/2 and up
