Default Dumb PA-Hud Question

Can you get players numbers to pop-up during tourneys or only on cash tables?

I think it should do this automatically if you are auto-importing the HHs. It should see the tables though...

I am auto-importing, it's not seeing them though. Strange.

Edit: what is the program talking about when it says you need the "Tournament Summary"? Perhaps that's what's wrong?

I was going to post a question like this also, so can you get stats on players from previous tourneys? What I mean is say you played with some dude like ummm I dont know "Isuckatpoker" and a week later you sit with him again. Will it post the stats from the previous tourney like you have 1k hands on him in previous tourney will it start with him at 1k hands or just start over from current tourney?

I ran into this too. Tournament summary (I think) has to do with PT being able to track buy-in, field, etc. It tells me this because I did not request these stats for my early tournaments.

I only set up the HUD a few weeks ago, so I am no expert, but when I set it up with the default method described in the help section, it worked for whatever table was up, be it ring game or tournament.

My very dumb counter question: Do you have the full version registered? It took me a couple of days to realize that the trial will only work on one table at a time.

Yes, I have the full registered version.

So, how do you input the Tournament Summary into PT? Anyone?

go to the 1st icon in your pokertracker next to the lightning bolt and it says auto import tournament summaries. Of course I dont know how this works but seems like you have to have the summary somewhere on your harddrive.

what is the difference in importing the summaries then just the individual hands while you watch? does it import everything so you dont have to observe or something? I have never messed with the tournament parts of pokertracker so this is new to me. how do you even get tournament summaries? seriously someone tell me how to get tournament summaries from full tilt because im sick of this pop up.

also where do STT stats usually go? in tournament section right?

On Stars there is nothing called "Tournament Summeries" to request. Is this just the "Tournament Histories" then?

sorry for lengthy posts, there is how to do it for full tilt and stars.

it takes awhile to enter the info though.

there has got to be easier way then enter thousands of info one by one. I guess thats only if you track everyone, most likely you are only going to enter yourself.

Default hey

look what i just found.

go to pokertracker - file - tournament summery fix.

that dosent seem to do much. I will mess around with this a little see what I can come up with, seems easiest solution so far is just open the manual thing and enter the stats on yourself. If there is a certain player you want to track then enter his also.

Default summary

ok here it is,

for full tilt at least you have to create your own summary in order to get the pokertracker database to be correct. Just follow those links I posted and it will show you exactly what you have to do. Basicly you just have to enter your name, how many people in tourney, buy in etc etc etc so it can track for you your ROI and stuff like that. You can not use the auto fill in option or everyone who played a hand in that tourney will show up and you will have to put a finish and a amount won in each of their spots and that could take a long long while.

if you are using this for sit and gos its not that bad entering 9 numbers but if you use it for MTTs it could take a while to enter say like 1000 entries.

For stars you can request a tournament summary and not sure how that works maybe someone with stars can figure it out.

the part I dont like is the fact that when you put in the stats on the manual entry those tounaments do not get filed somewhere they stay on that screen. So you have to go looking for your tourney when you want to enter your stats, I figure they could find a better way to do this. Im going to browse the pokertracker forum now to see if anything has been said about this.

I've only played tournaments at Stars, but how I import the summaries in PT is to go to File/PokerStars Tournament Results-Manual Entry, this should open up a window that shows a list of all tournaments played, but if there are no summaries most of the info will be missing, to fill in that info click on Auto Request Tournament Summaries, another window pops up where you can request the summaries--you need to be logged into Stars for it to work. The summaries will be sent to your email address you have set up with Stars. Once that is done, close all windows. Next click on the icon thats for Import HH/Tournament Summaries. Have it check your email and that will auto-import the tournaments into PT. Then if you want to see how you're doing similar to cash games, click on the trophy icon (Tournament Player Statistics).

I don't know if you can import summaries for any other site. But where you start for manual entry, you can enter the data for other sites. Also the HHs are stored just like cash games, so if you play a tournament with one player and get stats on him, and several tournaments later play him again, you will already have a history on him and they should work with HUD and pop-up.

Hope this helps everyone.

FWIW, I use PT for my cash games only. I keep track of my tourneys myself and never even open up the tourney section of PT. Why? Because way back when I first started messing with it, I thought it was really annoying.

That said, I still auto-import ALL of my hands, and if I turn on PAHud during a tourney (I usually don't), I have stats on the players I have history with. You don't need to enter tourney results to have stats on players you've played with. Just import the hands.

Im all for keeping track of your tourneys, I think you should even with pokertracker but that last link I posted for the auto import for full tilt is real nice. I have been messing around with it a little and it super simple. All you do is open the tourney lobby and fire up the program, click like 3 buttons and BOOM there it is.

Im like you I never have used the tourney section of pokertracker but if its this easy I might, it gives you ROI and stuff real easy.
