Default KK - craziest stat EVER...

Robb thought I was lying after I had won with it ... but how sick is THIS:

For my July play (all $2/$4 NL), I am now nine for nine with KK. Of the 169 different starting hands (I've been dealt all of them), I'm only running 100% win four: KK, QQ, J7s and A3s (one time each for the last two, for a combined $8 win).

Not only that, but I have netted more with KK ($533.70) than any other hand. For it's average per hand, it's only trailing 44, and barely ($59.77 vs $59.30).

Is this the new and improved Kiss of Death???

It's nice that you are getting that hot streak out of the way just before the WSOP. You wouldn't want fame and fortune anyway. OK, maybe not fame.

Don't be silly.... I've been saving up ALL YEAR for this hot streak. This latest run is a mere WARM UP for what is to come at the WSOP!

Check it out. How sick is this? Sorted by win percent:

It's also my highest grossing hand and my highest Average / Hand.

This is in recent play only, all $2/$4 NL.

Actually, I dropped $1000 last night, and today started off TERRIBLY (suckout city - over nad voer again), but I was able to turn it around and cut my losses. I also made two bad calls on the river that probably cost me close to $200.... but for the most part, I still feel like I'm palying well.

And KK holding up 12 straight times???

The suckouts have REALLY started coming, but good ol' KK is STILL holding up - I'm up to 14 straight now!

Not only that, but I've won my last 10 straight with AA as well. The only hand it lost was literally the VERY FIRST HAND I played when I started playing again one week ago today. Here is the HH, and a very pretty screen shot from PT:

Just a little update on this:

KK has now won for me 21 straight times. And AA has held up 17 - all but that very first hand I played in July, when I got all in on the flop vs 88 and he hit a 2 outer on me (Edit: see above post - I forgot I copied it there).

That's SICK (the combined 38 straight times my AA and KK haven't been cracked, not the 2 outer - I expect those).

But fear not, the world is still in blanace: What's my WORST hand (net loss) this month (approximately 5000 hands played)? Ok, it's actually my second worst hand, as my WORST is JTs.... but right behind that is good old AKo. Ah yes, AK, the ORIGINAL Kiss of Death! It's good for -$567.40 over the 44 times I've had it dealt to me this month. Gotta love that.

In Total $ Won and $/Hand, AA has finally edged KK now - the funny thing is their combined total is more than my net win ALL MONTH. That means without those two hands, all the others tally up to a slight loss....

Notice 9 of the 14 KK were from the blinds, coincidence?

What else could it be? I'm assuming by coincidence, you mean "normal variance."

I mean, AT LEAST 1/3 of the hands I play are from the blinds (6 max)... I don't think even 14 out of 14 would be that big of an anomoly, with such a small sample.

The new numbers are 12 out of 21, meaning 3 of my last 7 were also from the blinds. When the 21 number reaches 1000 (a significant sample size), I'll bet the blinds number is awfully close to what you would expect - probably 350-400.

Yeah I did not consider the fact it was short handed,
What I meant was showing power by raising on the blinds with good hands usually gets you a win.
In other words, not slowplaying big hands from the blinds.
Guess coincidence is not really the right term here.
Do you have any numbers for full table limit?

I don't play full table limit - EVER - so, no. Sorry.

And I don't think your theory really adds up. Sure, showing strength from the blinds might mean something, but you are also playing the whole hand out of position, which is much harder than playing from the button, for example.

Yeah you are out of position, but most people (I think) put you on a big hand when you raise from the blinds.
After the flop you are at a disadvantage because of position, but if they are "scared" of your big hand you may take it down quickly.

I mean, that's nice and all, but if it's that simple, why not ALWAYS raise from the blinds???

Good point.
Of course it won't work always, but I like the play when people limp in.

25 straight now, thanks to this gem that boosted my KK numbers past my AA numbers again.

Let me just tell you, I LOVE IT when they lead into me on the flop when I have an overpair. That's really the only time I feel comfortable with an overpair... When they check/call my flop bet, I get nervous, and when they check raise me... ugh. When this happens, however, it's almost like they are typing, "You have the best hand right now." Here, let me narrate for you:

Full Tilt Poker Game #826571055: Table Promenade (6 max) - $2/$4 - No Limit Hold'em - 0:20:25 ET - 2006/07/24
Seat 2: Rogue23 ($394)
Seat 3: gamlin ($118.20)
Seat 4: dmeeks ($971.40)
Seat 5: faccia ($403.60)
Seat 6: Dogg84 ($400)
faccia posts the small blind of $2
Dogg84 posts the big blind of $4
The button is in seat #4
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to Rogue23 [Kd Kc]
Rogue23 raises to $12
I have a playable hand.
gamlin calls $12
So do I.
dmeeks folds
faccia calls $10
I am in the BB with 2 players in the pot, so as per Zybomb's instructions, I must call.
Dogg84 folds
*** FLOP *** [Jh 4h 2d]
faccia bets $48
You have the best hand right now, Rogue.
Rogue23 raises to $124
Yes, I am aware of that. Thank you. Let's get Heads Up, shall we?
gamlin folds
Yes, you shall.
faccia calls $76
You TOTALLY have me beat. I have anywhere from 2 to 12 outs, but most likely 9 or 5.
*** TURN *** [Jh 4h 2d] [8s]
faccia bets $44
This card could not have helped me, so I am going to bet and hope to scare you off your hand, just in case YOU have a flush draw. I will be sure to give you PLENTY of odds to chase though, if that is in fact what you have.
Rogue23 raises to $258, and is all in
I am tiring of your nonsense. Give me the rest of your chips.
faccia calls $214
Ok.
Rogue23 shows [Kd Kc]
faccia shows [Jd 3d]
*** RIVER *** [Jh 4h 2d 8s] [Kh]
Rogue23 shows three of a kind, Kings
Thank you.
faccia shows a pair of Jacks
P.S. I am an idiot.
Rogue23 wins the pot ($801) with three of a kind, Kings
*** SUMMARY ***
Total pot $804 | Rake $3
Board: [Jh 4h 2d 8s Kh]

I just "stole" the BB from the SB with KK while I was typing up that fun dialogue.

The streak is over!!!

After winning with KK 32 straight times, #33 didn't go so well.

Check out the hands my opponents were holding! LOL... gotta love it. It's a shame the QQ guy didn't reraise preflop, or I would have pushed and won the pot, even if he called.

BTW, note the ironic chat.
