While the new blinds at the $25 are not nutbag approved. It's made the preflop raise much less valuable, people were more likely to call $3 or $4 dollars with crap when they already had $1 call on the table, but now they can throw away .50 much easier. Also, a raise is necessary to build any meaningful pot preflop, and that takes away alot of reraise possibilites from early positions. I guess I should stop playing around in the kiddie pool and start making some moves.

Move to the $50 tables and you'll be playing your old game.... same blinds as the $25s used to have.

That affects my style too much, The addition of that much more money gives the bigger stacks too much room to gamble and bluff. I'm not much of a NL player, and usually just waited around for premium hands to make moves, and usually do well. With the move up to $50, many of the fish stay at $25 and better players won't call the bigger bets, which takes away most of the money i make. This is all in my unexperienced opinion, but i think it makes sense.
p.s. lou, thanks for taking all that time to craft that witty response, i figured you might have an informed opinion on this but you just comment on a stupid quote i used. |

Settle down... it's supposed to be funny. Besides, you can't post a quote from Tilt and not get called out for it.

there is really no difference between $25 and $50 NL on party, still alot of fish just more money in play.
Also Nutbag, please dont use tilt quotes lol. It reminds me of the people I see in the live tourney I play every month... I usually see like 10 people with party poker hats on and sunglasses. Im just waiting for Don Everest to walk thru that door next. |

I keep forgetting about the show, but I'm making an effort to see this one just for Phil, he can put on quite a show even when it's not a show, if you know what I mean.

The poker scenes are just PAINFUL to watch. With all these special guests, I can't believe they couldn't get one pro to help them out with reality... Seidel was even IN a scene this week that had me groaning. You know, the one with the internet dork who they made look about 100 times worse than any internet player in the world. Did you see him multi-tabling with 4 monitors? Did you see him playing badly and then yelling at his monitor after he sucked out? did you see him getting ridiculously aggressive and calling with not so good hands during the live play?
Sorry... I hust find it annoying that they can't make it seem at all realistic. I mean, even Norman Chad could speak up and write a better script for the poker scenes... |
