Man... they really do.

I still like Party the best for cash games, but for tourneys, I'm all about Stars, then Full Tilt, and then UB...

Party's have the SIZE, but they still don't have the veriety or a decent structure.

i think stars will eventually overrun party as the largest overall site due to the sheer tourney-related growth.

just now, stars tops 60-65k ppl evenings while from what ive heard party is down to 60k post-empire split. now this is not to say party is hurting in any way, shape or form...

but stars IMHO will be the no. 1 soon.

It's possible. Their cash games still don't compare, but their tourneys are MUCH better, their customer service is superior, and they do a better job of marketing too. I'd love to see the growth numbers for Party vs. Stars in the last year... I'm guessing Stars is catching up.

damn, anyone else missing pokerpulse's old hourly-updated ticker with headcounts on all major poker sites?

anywho, nitely i see stars regularly cracking now 65k (btw 8pm-11pm est). i hear from friends party, post-empire, is about 58-60-something-k nitely.

skeptics could say well stars could have more playmoney ppl than party, etc etc.

still...IMHO stars is gaining rapidly and its only now matter of time, cashgames or not.

i think that stars will continue to gain market share solely based on their tourneys. most people who are brought into the game do so because they have seen so much tournament poker on tv, and that is the game that they feel the most comfortable playing.

their ring games will still lag behind party, but that will probably even out as more and more players come to play tourneys. the stars games are obviously tighter and have a better core of players right now, but that will change too.

Is the reason people like party cash games better because they are easier to beat? I only played sng's when I played on party a long time ago. I personally don't like the software at party but the main reason i don't play there anymore is because the way they treat their customers.

PokerStars will always be top of the top. They have the biggest cash payouts and WCOOP EVENTS with the most reliable software. They sponsor EPT and have the most onlineplayers everyday exceeding 50k and even 60k occasionally.
