Default Back from Vegas

Well Im back from Vegas. Im gunna head out in a minute, so I'll have a more detailed update tomorrow, including some of the interesting hands (I'll include the AQ vs KK hand that TP mentioned, which I think was borderline, and the T6s hand, which I think was played good by me and HORRIBLE on every street by my opponent)

I netted 6800 in cash games for the trip, I blew $500 on table games (yea I know, Im a sucker) and I bought in the 1k buy in tourny, which I busted at the end of the 2nd level , so I netted 5300 for the trip, $3900 after my flight cost and all expenses for the week (goin out, food etc)

Full update tomorrow.

Those are some sweet numbers, man.... You basically got an all inclusive trip to Vegas, paid vacation (assuming you stayed home, worked, and made $x), AND netted a few grand. You're the man.

Great meeting you and hanging out... looking forward to dong it again sometime. Maybe we can meet up at Foxwoods or the Borgata or something...

That'd be great. Or even better, if it would be in Aruba/ Bahamas/ somewhere carribean where we've both won a WPT seat. All Adrian was talking about on the ride home was the EPT and "we're goin to Europe soon". I can tell he was real bummed about the WSOP though.

Ok well Im still on West Coast Time, so Im up (and fairly sober), so I figured I'd do a little recap.

For starters, I played 14 sessions of poker in the 9 days I was down there (obviously some multiple sessions some days). I had 2 losing sessions, but no losing days.

I came close on both days I had a losing session (netting 28 bucks on day, when I had the -1000k session, and netting 80 bucks the day I had the -200 session)

In order, My numbers for 14 sessions were

$480, $820, $1890, $1200, $320, $280, -$200, $200, $1028, $-1000, $70, $270, $1000, $435

The play was fairly bad. I figure that the play in the card rooms back home is going to be obviously better, bc in that room there are POKER players, who are going to play poker, while in casinos there are GAMBLERS, who play poker as well. Naturally that leads to more fish and softer play.

My 1k tourny that TP skilled went absolutely horrible. I played literally 5 hands the entire tournament, before busting out at the end of the 2nd level.

I raise with Ah Qh in MP, receives 2 callers. The flop came 9 high with 2 clubs. Check, I lead, call, call. Turn brings a 3rd club, first guy leads, I fold.

Next hand I have AKo and raise, then the tightest player at the table (I think this was literally the first time in 45 minutes he put $ in the pot) reraised me.. I thought a while then folded.

I had 8d 6d in the SB. Two limpers, and the button raises the 50 blinds to 150. I call, figuring all 3 other players are priced in to call (getting 4:1, 5:1 and 6:1 on their calls respectively) EVERY PLAYER FOLDS . I check the flop which missed me, he checks behind. I stab at the turn, he calls, and I surrender on the river.

I have 1k at this point and limp on the button with 22 after 2 limpers. The flop comes Q 5 2 rainbow. It is checked to the limper right beofre me, who bets 300. I move all in. He insta calls when it's back to him and shows 55....

Well... that sure sucked

I lost a $2310 pot to a river 2 outer . I raise UTG with KK to $30. A player in MP reraises to $100. The biggest donkey in the world (called a bet and a raise on the flop with a gutshot, called my 2/3 pot bet on the turn, then rivered the gutshot to beat my set ) calls. I reraise to $300. The reraise thinks for a moment then calls, the donkey does as well.

Flop: Ts 6s 2d.

First to act I move all in for $470 (I think my only play at this point.) The reraiser thinks for 2 minutes. I am talking to myself (aloud) saying Jacks no good the entire time. He finally calls. The donkey says...well I guess there's too much $ for me to fold here and calls as well. The reraiser shows queens. The donkey doesn't show, but says he doesn't have a pair or any spades (WTF?) I tell the dealer to just put a K on the board and end it. The turn is a blank....river......queen......

I'm going to post the two hands TP mentioned earlier in the HSIHPT section tomorrow
