Default Noble Poker Review

now i've been reading some anti-noble sentiment in the last few days, and since i just recently opened an account there -- figured i'd give you guys my review. this might be long so if you don't care...don't read.

first off, depositing was really easy, and noble footed my neteller instacash fee for me -- so i made the minimum $20 deposit. the deal is 100% deposit bonus up to $500 (via TP's deal) and i really wasn't as interested in that deal as i had heard a few negative things about how hard the bonus was to clear... i was more concerned with the $50 TP promised. after i made my deposit i was immediatly greeted by online support with an extra $10 (+1 point).

i sat down at the .50/$1 with my whopping thirty bucks (yes thanks bankroll gurus, i was far under the limit here). first thing i noticed was the table setup obviously. it's pretty similar to party's (looks wise) but the software is definatly choppier. one thing i do like is there is a full hand history on the right side of the table as the hand goes along, that you can reference what happened earlier in the hand (sometimes after a long session this really helps). they also have your table stats (how many hands you raised, checked, called, reraised, won, lost, folded, etc in the current session). the software crashes a lot when you're trying to find a table (which can be really annoying) but once i get going in a table i havent had a single crashing issue.

after playing for a while i tried to figure out how to check my "crowns" i had (crowns are what give you the bonus -- every 125 crowns is $10 cleared -- one crown is given per hand where you make any contribution to the pot) and i actually have accumulated them very quickly, and cleared 125 crowns in about 5 hours. now obviously i only have to clear 250 crowns, so maybe for those who are looking to clear $500 it might be a touch more difficult. the worst thing about checking your crowns though, is you have to ask customer support everytime you want to know (and they get very testy when you ask them more than once in a day).

overall, the site is pretty sweet, and it's definatly worth the $80 in bonuses i'm getting for getting 250 'crowns' (TP bonus + 100% bonus + $10 on signup). you should definatly take a look at this site if you like to bonus whore.

Thanks for the review. I'm glad to see you are a happy customer.

For anyone who doesn't know about the offer that junYUN mentioned, check out this thread:

Yes, the offer is still valid... at least through the end of May.

I personally like the animation the best out of any of the sites i have played on so far. I like the side view...it makes me feel like im playing live (well more than any of the otherones anyway).

On that note, I have a $200 withdrawal pending from Noble, been a couple days now with no response, though the first one always seems to be slower.

i really hope it is not tough to withdrawl but this is not encouraging...one other thing i noticed is sometimes it gets really hard to find a game...there are probably only 4 tables of .50/$1 running at any given time, and sometimes they're all full...and the rest are completely empty.

When I am trying to sign up somewhere I of course want reviews. I look to TP's front page but they are not all there. Like right now I am thinking of doing Doyle's and wanted to know some stuff like this Noble thread says like difficulty of bonus to clear, customer service, cashing in and out etc.

I was wondering if we could get a thread or something started on each one of the "Detailed Review coming soon" ones and everyone can say their 2 cents. THen you can connect the thread to the review. I think this would be extremely helpful and I would be happy to direct a new player here.

What do you think?

Not a bad idea. the reason I don't have reviews for all of those sites... plainly stated... is I'm lazy. Starting a thread for each poker room and linking to it, so people can see everyon'es opinions - not just mine - that's a pretty damn good idea.

Quick and dirty review of Doyle's: Decent site, nice El Cheapo tournies for those interested in that, though look out for the usual early maniacs. Didn't put much money in there, and lost just about all of that so I can't speak for withdrawal times. Summation: I've seen worse.

Do you mean to tell me none of you have tried to multi-table there?
Can't be done....
The tables overlap each other so much too dangerous.

yeah thats one thing i left out....multi-tabling is impossible because you'd have to be constantly checking the other table because you can only have one table up at a time. would be deadly if you were contemplating a call with a straight draw, and you happened to pull aces preflop on your other hand..but folded them because you were calculating odds and didnt click to the table fast enough (yes this really happened).

I've been playing at Noble for about a week. Some impressions:

1. Games are SOFT. Really soft. At least in the NL games, the players are flat out horrible. Some beats I've taken are pretty harsh, pocket A's cracked by Q6o. 6 on the flop, Q on the river. But overall I'm up a decent amount because of just these types of monkey plays.

2. Haven't tried multi-tabling. Just playing $1/$2 and .5/$1 NL. Usually can get on a table relatively quickly.

3. I've been clearing the bonus ($500) in roughly $20 increments per day with only about 1-2 hrs/day playing. Not too bad, IMHO.

4. Attempted my first cashout last night (Sunday). I'll let you know how it progresses. I've heard some stories about how it could be tough getting $$$ out of Noble. Two players I know who have requested large cashouts have been asked to fax them identification before their request is approved. My cashout attempt was for $300. We'll see how long it takes and what hoops I have to jump through.

5. More on the players. Frequently, they'll buy in to a $100 or $200 table with only $10 or $20. These are the "playing scared" players, not willing to risk large amounts of their bankroll on a single hand. These are the types of players I want to be playing NL with.

6. There are some minor software issues, like no automatic way to check crown status and some others. But I confess to liking the feel of the software. Another minor quibble is that to get the right dollar amount to bet, you have to type it in the box AND press enter in order for it to register. Then you can click the bet box.

7. 6-player SNG's are a waste of time. 7 minute levels and by level 6 or 7 it's a complete and utter crapshoot. Avoid.

8. I've experience two separate occasions of being unable to connect to their servers. This downtime lasted roughly 1.5 hours each. But as soon as they came back online, the games were accessible and running.

My overall concerns are the cashout procedures, especially with this being a new site and all. I'm not sure about how long after clearing the bonus I'll play there. The games are really too profitable to ignore, but for right now, I'd say there is some risk with respect to cashing out quickly. I hope my cashout concerns get alleviated. If they do, I'd recommend this site if only for the scores of bad players there.

Dont forget free $50 from TP + free $10 from Noble (not counting any bonus money you need to earn). It's the best deal in town!
