A friend of mine is going to game 5 apparently. Also, I apparently have to make sure that my youngest wears his Red Wings PJs at night. First two games - in the PJs - they win. Game 3 - no RW PJs - they lose...

I feel bad for anyone who has to watch NBC. Hockey Night in Canada is the fucking nuts and blows every other sports broadcast out of the water. Heres the intro to the game 6 broadcast. Shit still gives me goosebumps.

Grew up in Michigan so that's how I became a Red Wings fan. After college I lived in Chicago (Lincoln Park) about 10 blocks from Wrigley Field and went to so many games at Wrigley that it was impossible not to become a Cubs fan. That's probably the best venue I've ever been in to watch/enjoy a sporting event, and I've been to a lot. Cubs were the only Chicago team I got hooked on. Still root for the Pistons and Tigers (and obv the Wings), never liked the Lions (growing up I was a Packers fan).

God that intro is sick, why can't NBC step up and have half the intro these are. I ended up watching all of them.
If Pens win tom. night on Detroit ice it'd be amazing

Everything but the black eyed peas in game 4 was awesome, and even that was pretty cool except for the gay song choice.
Detroit is gonna win at home and I'm gonna flip over a car downtown when the entire city goes apeshit.

Guy in my office went to game 3 and 4. He's a Pens fan, and, of course, I papered his office with Red Wing logos and photos of octopi for his enjoyment upon his return. I'd be on a plane tomorrow if I could land game 7 tix.
