27 days til Vegas - what should I do when I get there?

Hi -

I know most of you do not know who the heck I am.

My main identity here is Invigilator's wife. A few may recollect me from our league play in the winter. I am not a serious player. I play NL live once a month at our home game. I play on-line sporadically, tournaments only, never cash games. I enjoy NL, PL, 5 card draw, and Razz. I have limited experience/success with 7 card stud and Omaha.

Invig and I are going to Vegas at the end of the month so he can play in WSOP. My question is - when I get to Vegas, if I want to play poker - where and what type, would you guys recommend for me?

I would recommend not playing at Rio unless you are playing WSOP. The place is like a circus and really poorly organized for side games. Also a lot of the dealers they hire there are pretty bad.

Wynn has uncapped games which is nice, but most of the time it's a bunch of nut peddling live pros that buy in for 1000bbs so games aren't great most of the time.

Bellagio is really nice as is the Venetian. That is where I would play.

If you are staying in a casino hotel, make sure to get the poker rate. As long as you are going to be playing, might as well save a few bucks.
