Yet another new magazine
At my local card room yesterday, I came across Fifth Street, the debut issue of yet another poker magazine. Content was OK -- cover story was on Steven Schirripa (The Sopranos), best piece was an interview with Daniel N.
Meanwhile, my local 7-11 is carrying the second issue of All In, which I did not buy. |

Does anyone here subscribe to or regularly read a certain poker magazine? I occassionally scan through a few when I'm at a bookstore that carries them, does anyone know any good ones that are consistently worth the read.

Card Player is and will remain the best. The others are decent, but you should subscribe to Card Player.

Lots of imitators
I can't bring myself to pay for it since I can usually grab one in a poker room somwhere and/or read the articles on line, but I agree that Cardplayer is far and away the best. There is also a local rag here in Seattle (Washington Gambler's Journal, or something along those lines) that is helpful only for its ads telling me new tourney times, promotions, etc.

There are times I want to read it when I'm not sitting in front of my computer. In fact, I don't think there is ever a time I'd want to read it when I'm in front of my computer (I could be playing)... but that's just me.
