just like them trying to get poker in the olympics as much as I love this game ill be the 1st to say it dosent belong in there. Happy as hell to see it get more and more popular but lets just keep it around the casinos in in the homes. If you put it in the olympics I think it will hurt the sport more then help it.

Luske for POY!

Vogl wasn't so bad. He did have two good performances. I think finished 1st in the NL event, and 12 or 22 in another NL event. He obviously has some game!

I would like to thank my parents [sniffle, sniffle] without them I would never have made it as far as I have.....They provide the shoulder I cry on (on national TV) every time I bust out of a major tourney at the hands of these inferior players[weep, weep].....

Poker emmy goes to Phil H.

Default Freaky

He is too freaky for me! The only time I saw him was in the WPT game about a year ago or so. He scares me.. heh.

I saw him on TV a few weeks ago in a WPT tournament. I can't remember what tourney it was but IIRC he did win. He just seems like a strange dude to me, and I'm not a huge fan of all his jewelry.

He actually runs a jewelry shop in England so not suprised he has the bling. Devilfish is a great entertainer on and off the table. He has stories coming out of his head all the time. I last saw him 3 weeks ago at a local horse racing meeting. He had 4 big big bets and all 4 won and nice odds. God knows where he ended up after that nice sting.

Actually he's a very respectful person, a few of his quotes from wsop04.

"I'm really not that good"
After being knocked out he said to David Chui, "You're the best player at the table".
"Sometimes the luck goes with you and sometimes it doesn't"
"To be honest with you, I find poker quite boring"
"It's really not that skilful"
"I don't think I'm good enough to be a world champion, it just happened real quickly"
"With those cards, I think my mother could have won this tournament in about an hour and a half"
"I don't think my Dad will be too impressed because he wants me to go and get a job"
" And my personal favourite, right at the end of the show, when asked to lift some of his prize money in the air James replied: "I don't really want to hold it up, it's a bit vulgar. I'm British, you know?"

my votes would be for vogl for rookie of the year, ram for player of the year, and dekjniff for performance of the year.

i think that the player of the year race is the closest of the three, and i am surprised that dekjniff wasnt included in that one as well.
