Cbetting after 3betting and getting called by a tight opponent
Lets just assume that you're playing 2/4 NL with $400 stacks. Tight player (lets assume 19/15 here for the example) opens in the cutoff. You reraise with whatever you reraise with on the button with little history between you and villain and only the tight CO opener calls.
Flop comes 652 rainbow. Do you cbet if you have... 77? TT? AK? 89? If you are called, what hands are you going to fire another shell with if you are called and an 8 turn comes if villain again checks to you on the turn? |

This is tough without knowing more about opponent - like if he is capable of floating the flop with nothing.
I'll be interested to see what others say here.... I'm expecting to be in the minority with my 100% flop cbet. Edit: I should also add that sometimes (well under 50%), I will check behind the flop here (especially with the AK) and then cbet the turn if opponent checks again. Typically though, I cbet the flop. |

I would also CB bet the flop with all.
Turn, probably the same as what TP said, except I don't think I would call the reasonable bets, I think I would fold unless I hit the str8.

I CB with all because of the 19/15. If he was 19/9 that is a different story and would probably check, or I guess just call on the button in the first place. The rest really depends on WSD(went to showdown), and AggFreq...if his agg is low and his WSD is reasonable, I fire a second shell on the turn 77 and 89. Don't know if any of that input is useful.

A lot depends on my image at the table and how often I've been 3 betting and what hands I've shown down when three betting
Chances are Im likely to CB with each hand though As far as my turn action, again this is determined by the opponent. Does he over value hands, does he call too much, how would he play 88 99 TT or JJ in this spot? WOuld he fold an overpair , how would he lay a set etc

I suspect we don't know the answers to these things, because of this:

Have you been at the table long?
If so how's your image? Have you been playing just as tight as him? Tighter? or Lagging it up? Assuming I haven't gotten out of line lately, I c-bet all 4 hands on the flop. The turn is where things change for me. It's checked to me, I check the turn behind a higher % of the time then not. If I cbet the flop with AK or 10-10 what can I beat that he calls? If I cbet the flop with 7-7 I am more than likely beat. If I cbet the flop with 8-9 I am more than likely beat. If He's just floating a call on the flop, well good for him. He's tight, and it's possible he's floating with A-K but not much else. that I can beat here. So yes, I check the turn and hope to hit the river.

What I'm trying to understand is what range of hands are you putting a tight player on when he calls your reraise OOP. I think the vast majority of the time you are going to see someone with a pocket pair there with maybe AQ, AJ, or KQ on occasion depending on how aggressive the game usually is (with the less aggressive the game, the more likely a pocket pair is). So, if that is what a person is going to call with a lot of times, you should plan to double barrel a lot of the time in these situations to win the hand.
