NL Texas Hold'em Trny:19543436 Level:11 Blinds (400/800) - Wednesday, January 25, 19:38:39 EDT 2006 Table Party for Free Qualifier 1000 points(577641) Table #1 (Real Money) Seat 4 is the button Total number of players : 10 Seat 6: Dodoubled ( $16995 ) Seat 3: lesson2day ( $20085 ) Seat 4: eleventhst ( $11961 ) Seat 2: pannenkoek ( $13874 ) Seat 9: Draken66 ( $18693 ) Seat 1: Hoquy ( $43596 ) Seat 5: dc951 ( $18146 ) Seat 7: bigkim ( $13876 ) Seat 8: Lifelesss ( $24462 ) Seat 10: kanaldo ( $79312 ) Trny:19543436 Level:11 Blinds (400/800) ** Dealing down cards ** Dealt to Dodoubled [ Kh 9c ] bigkim folds. Lifelesss folds. Draken66 folds. kanaldo folds. Hoquy folds. pannenkoek folds. lesson2day folds. eleventhst calls [800]. dc951 folds. Dodoubled checks. ** Dealing Flop ** [ 6h, 8s, 9s ] Dodoubled checks. eleventhst bets [1700]. Dodoubled calls [1700]. ** Dealing Turn ** [ 9d ] Dodoubled checks. eleventhst is all-In [9461] Dodoubled calls [9461]. ** Dealing River ** [ 7h ] Dodoubled shows [ Kh, 9c ] three of a kind, nines. eleventhst shows [ Qs, Tc ] a straight, six to ten. eleventhst wins 24322 chips from the main pot with a straight, six to ten. OK ... he has a double gutshot here. A Jack or a 7 gives him the straight. But, if you're at a FINAL TABLE of 10 people, where the TOP 8 players qualify for this thing, why in the hell would you risk your entire stack on a draw like that? I mean, he pushed all in on the turn, where he still had zilch. The idea was to check-raise him on the turn when the second 9 hit and hopefully get him to fold. I didn't raise him on the flop because of the straight already there. Of course, he beat me to the punch, pushing all in. Now, if he flopped the straight, great. All he did preflop was call me, the big blind. I'm paying him off with trip 9s and a king kicker. Now, this one didn't bust me out ... but wait. There's an even better one in a minute ... |

Our friends at CardPlayer.com ...
Gave me these numbers on the two beats.
Hand No. 1, I was actually a 51.11-47.78 dog after the flop. But when the second nine hit (and when the money went in), I was an 81.82-percent favorite and he was a 18.18-percent dog. Hand No. 2, I was a 91.82 percent favorite to his 8.18 percent (when the money went in). Even after the 10 hit on the turn, I was still an 86.36-percent favorite to his 13.64 percent. |

Believe it or not, but you're only (and I use the word "only" sparingly) about a 3-1 favorite in that hand preflop. (73.63-25.31) Still good odds, and still a tough beat.
But the hand that busted me out yesterday was about as tough as I've seen. He pretty much had to catch perfect, and he did. I went all-in -- after the flop -- with bet-the-house odds, and I lost my hat, ass and overcoat. Either he severely misread me or he just made a bad call. Either way, he got lucky ... and that's poker. |

hmm
My guess is he was the chip leader, felt like gambling since it's a freeroll and you need to win it to make read good money, and didn't like your red hair or long-winded stories

Good to see you finally made it onto the board, douchebag. It's about time.
Anyhow, welcome. TP's a good guy. He makes everyone feel like family -- except the occasional assholes. He just makes them feel like assholes. As for the freeroll -- yeah, you're right, and shit like that certainly happens. That's why I've decided to quit poker and take up No-Limit Honeymoon Bridge instead. |
