Baseball Action Saturday
When reviewing the games yesterday before the lines were released, I had two plays in mind.
I figured I'd go with Hudson and Atlanta at home vs the beyond struggling Ortiz and the Orioles. Atlanta has been playing pretty bad this year, but not as bad as Ortiz has been pitching. Then the lines are released and I see Atlanta is -220 . What is this world coming two ATLANTA over a 2-1 favorite over anyone??? I really think they are gunna stomp em, but I'm not laying that price Because of that, I have one play. I realize the Twins are at home and on an 8 game win streak and baseball is a game of streaks... but at even money here, I have to go with the Brewers in this pitching match up. Capuano has pitched solid all year, including 7 inning and 2 runs the last time these teams met, while Silva has pitched horrible, although his last 3 starts have been better. The line has moved $13 in favor of the brewers so far, an indication of where the $ is going -- so I think I'm going to go with it and hope the pitching matchup prevails. Go Brew Crew

Had to add this, I love to see someone lay off a game they like because of the price, in the long run that will pay off reguardless of todays result.

Well Capuano didn't do as well as I imagined, but Silva got bombed as I expected.
Even with Capuano's poor performance, the Brew Crew had the game until the f'n bullpen blew it in the 8th. Well, the pitcher I was betting against gave me what I expected him to.... damn bullpens. Minn takes it down of Milw. On a side note, THAT'S why Atlanta shouldn't be 2:1 + favorites over ANYONE in the league, and why I didn't touch it...geez
