Table question
I have a friend with a PS account, to avoid neteller fees I transfered him some starting money, which he gave back to me later. Literally by coincidence we happened to sit at the same 2/4 table tonight , and we both did pretty decent....... my question is, is that going to bring up problems in the ps staff? Like that i sat at a table with someone i transfered money to (possible cohesion etc) Are they even aware of it? I kind of thought about it after a while and was like wow, I hope it doesnt put any of my money on lock or anything....... if anyone knows let me know

he may be referring to InstaCash. If he is, we should say one thing - EFT is free.

Yea Instacash -- I know EFT is free, he basically just didn't want to wait to play, so i transfered some cash to get him started.
So does anyone have any idea about my original question? |

Nothing from experience. My gut says that their own colusion-detection system probably has to raise a red flag, or they have to field a complaint from another player before any action gets initiated.

i dont think their detection system is very good at all....i played at several tables with people i know for fun...and we used to transfer each other money to play S&Gs against each other... never once got an e-mail or anything.

Even when I have seen (in other forum posts) instances where people were "obviously" colluding and someone sent their names and the hand numbers to support, PokerStars seems to have given all sides an opportunity to explain before any action was taken. My GUESS is that even if this did raise a red flag, you could just tell them what happened and they would be ok with it (or at least that is what I would hope would happen).
Also, TP has transferred some of us money and we have played together as well and noone has had a problem there so far.... |

Yes, but 2 things:
1. I have transferred that money to (almost all of) you guys from my "TalkingPoker" account, which is not enabled for play or chat. 2. The only time we have played together is at Private Tourneys.... I don't think we've ever tried sitting at a cash game together. I'm honestly not sure the answer to this question. I know I've heard of people having this problem at the Party Skins (friends sitting together), and I know that people have had their accounts closed at Stars when they were caught colluding. I think you're ok until you hear otherwise, and even then, as long as the HHs don't show any evidence of collusion, you'll probably be fine. These sites love the whole "Refer your Friends!" thing, so it seems unreasonable to me that you wouldn't be allowed to play with said friends under any circumstances, ya know? |

me and a friend tried to sit at a ring game together on party and it wouldn't let us because i was the account that referred him... so no, i don't think they really want you playing together (unless -- like you noted -- its in a private tourny)
