Default Confidence (and Bankroll!) Builder...

One word:

I had heard how bad the players were there - I'm sure we all have - but for whatever reason, I never played any cash games there unti la few days ago. The lack of full PT compatability was always a big turn off for me.

Anyway, I had some money on there and decided to give the cash games a whirl the other day. I was IMMEDIATELY impressed. Dumbstruck is probably a better word. I mean, these players are BAD. Not all of them, of course, but the bad ones are far worse than I'm used to seeing on Full Tilt.

How are the bad? In addition to the usual chasers and calling station types (TPTK is the nuts!), it's like the average player has no idea how to size their bets properly: Goofy min raises, small bets after the flop, ridiculous overbet bluffs, you name it.

I've basically just played a table or two there off and on while I've been doing other stuff these past few days - mostly 3/6 and 5/10, but also a few orbits of 10/20, just for kicks and to see how soft the game was (answer: SOFT). The 10/20 game is the biggest game they offer, actually. Anyway, I'm up about $3k or so through I don't even know how many hands... 1000? 1500 at the most. I'd say I've been running above average overall, but still... Thank you s!

Does anyone else play there regularly? I remember hearing they were having problems with cashouts - has that all been resolved? Will they send me a check without too much trouble?

Really? I figured the horrible players wouldn't be that observant.

Did I mention the guy who was buying in to the $1000 tables with $200 and pushing in every hand? He's MAYBE double up once or twice and then inevitably bust. Great strategy right there...

I called Bodog tonight (I love how they actually have telephone customer service) and asked about cashing out. On their site, it says 10-15 days for checks and checks by courier. He said it's more like 25-30 days in reality. He said they recommend people cash out through "Money Transfer," which is their way of saying Western Union. I guess they send the money through a third party so as to not set off any red flags of anyone who might be watching... I looked on a map and there are Western Union places all over the place around here. I think I might cash out a little bit and see how smoothly the process goes.

BTW - Can you do Player to Player transfers at Bodog? I don't see the option anywhere.

I don't normally get involved in the quite often forum squabbles, but I would like to know if our newly active member here has made a single post contributing to the forum? I don't like logging on to read through unread posts and seeing the same BS posted in four different threads. I say we go through with the request and give him the boot.

I heard that when bodog first started, that there used to be a lot of overlay on their guaranteed tournies - but that is no longer the case.

Does anyone know if they still have overlay on their MTTs?

I believe so... at least in their weekly 100 grand. I honestly haven't looked at it for a long time though. Let's see... Looking at the completed "Guaranteed" tourneys that I see in the lobby right now, I see the following:

$50+5 $50k guarantee - 648 entrants
$15+1 $2500 guarantee - 154 entrants
$10+1 $2500 guarantee - 203 entrants

That's 3 for 3 with overlays in the past 24 hours, and as far as I know, they have never NOT had an overlay for their big $100k guarantee on Sundays.

The $10 was actually bigger than the $15.... but yeah, overlays galore for tourney players.

I can't answer any questions about depositing. I've had my money on there since pre-Neteller's demise.

That make the Western Union cashout sound easy enough though (I'll post again when I actually get my money), so I would imagine you could deposit in the same manner. It's probably not the cheapest option though...

they offer 10% bonus with no limit and they give you the cash upfront, however you do have to play x amount before cashing out. The tourney players are just horrid too. Although, the software is unbelievably tough to multitable because you receive less time than most sites to act and the noise to tell you that you are running out of time is weird and you many times miss it.

IMO, the interface is about the worst one out there. Matches the players perfectly...

I thought they got rid of the 10% bonus.
Anyone confirm that they still offer this?
