Mutli-tabeling different games
As mentioned in the prior thread, I have a busy weekend coming up on Party, as I'm sure a bunch of us do. What do you all think of multi-tabeling with one screen limit and one screen NL, either a tourney or cash game? I'm accustomed to mulitabeling at different levels (2/4 for my A game, 50/1 in the background), but find I have trouble when I actually have to switch strategies between the two tables.

Im no pro so I like keeping all my limits the same since like you said its different game when your on different levels. But ive read/heard about other players that can do different levels and do tornaments, I guess it just depends on your personal prefrence.

They are just different games, I think it would be difficult. You can bluff people at $2/4, but at $.50/1, it's alot harder. (Agree?) I would certainly get confused, especially if I'm running more than two tables.
When multi-tabling, I *try* to stick to the same limit. I'll even go so far as to TRY to pick the same table w/ the same $$/hand, but that changes constantly. I multi w/ SnG tournaments, but if it's a short-handed cash game, or a large MTT, I try to just focus on one thing. I think there is so much to be said about actually "watching" what the other players do. It definitely helps when you have to act in certain situations. Clear that bonus - and don't lose too much.

I'm usually mT'ing 2 to 3 2/4 tables. However, I'll occasionally do one 2/4 and a NLSNG.
Don't bother me. Keeps me more alert. |
