College Football
Florida (home) vs LSU -1.5
Tennessee (away) vs Georgia -2.5 Georgia has not looked very good against several lackluster teams -- I think the Vols take this one down Penguin (or anyone else), in your non handicapping opinion, what's your take on these two?

Where's the value in the Florida bet?
And Tereshinski will be back for Georgia. Does that change things? Edit: Not that I know much about it, but I had seen people elsewhere saying that there would be value in LSU giving up to 4.5 points or something like that. Last edited by johnp158; 10-06-06 at 04:22 PM. |

I'm down here in the heart of SEC country and I like both those plays. I think the Gators will be fired-up for this (Homecoming) game and you're right about Georgia, they've looked bad the past few weeks.

A virtual pick'em at home against a team that has trouble scoring against good teams, but blows out shitty teams. Thats my take at least

I love tennessee beating Georgia, Georgia hasnt played worth a damn all season.
I really dont think one player coming back is going to make all that big of a difference. |

Maybe I am no better than an alcoholic, I seem to keep wandering back into the sports forum, though I haven't placed a bet all week.
Zy, without crunching the numbers, simply looking from the outside in I would say LSU is simply the better team. They should come out throwing the ball, early and often. I'd imagine they get an early lead and force Florida away from the running game by half time. Lots of balls in the air, Florida forced to get away from their game plan, I just see this game going over 40.5 and LSU winning by two scores or more. I would say something along ths lines of: LSU 27-17 As far as Tennessee and Georgia goes, I think it was Mark Twain who said "sometimes a cigar is just a cigar". Fitting for this game as it would appear to be just what it is, Georgia is not a good team and Tennessee, despite the ass raping opening weekend is a solid team and should have no problem covering the 2.5 points. Tennessee 35-10

The Florida/LSU line has moved down to a pick em ... going by my line change stats it means 80% LSU wins this game although the difference btwn 1.5 and pick em isnt much if anything.... doesnt look good for the gator pick tho

Russell for LSU is a terrible qb.

This UT v. UGA game is something else... 95 yard TD drive for UT, then a blocked punt TD for UT which is followed by a kick return TD for UGA. Wow.
Edit: UT pulling away now.

Boo on LSU, phew on Tennessee. Even for the day, with my bridgejumper/bonus clearing bet on Alabama looking bad for a while. Unbelievable.
