Default Life-long sox fan

This is not my father;s red sox organization. In any other year, there is no way we could win this game after walking so many guys and commiting 4 ERRORS!!!! Those errors led directly to 3 runs, and the other one put a guy on 2nd with 2 outs who was then driven in, and another run scored in that inning too. So you could say that the errors led to 5 runs for the cards.

The Red Sox are not supposed to win those games. In years past, Bellhorn's 8th inning game winning home run would have gone foul by about an inch...and then he would have hit into an inning ending double play. Also, in the top of the 8th, the umps really helped us out on the Edmonds strike out...that last called strike was a dubious call...at best.

To win that game with Wakefield starting, we really helped ourselves out...considering St.Louis hasnt lost at home in the playoffs yet, I didnt feel comfortable at all going there tied 1-1. We got the Wakefield game out of the way, and now I hope we get the Game 6 Schilling from the yankees series...and not the Game 1.

The Sox have now had game winning or tying runs in the 8th inning or later in 4 out of our 8 wins so far in the playoffs....I mean, that stat always went to the other team against us in the playoffs. There's no way in hell I'm about to jinx us by making any predictions that we will win...but lets just say I like our chances.

LETS GO RED SOX!!!!!

i cant exactly rest easy yet, but i feel great about the sox right now.

i mean, they cant exactly play worse than they have so far defensively, and their bats and bullpen have been great.

pedro may be shaky in game three, but i think the sox will still win, just as payback for the crappy performances that suppan gave us last year.

go sox.

Pedro pitched an absolutely unbelieveable game, bouncing back after a rough 1st inning. Sox will win this thing, just wonder what game.

Next year:

Pedro to the Yankees
You will also likely see Randy Johnson go there. But the Yankees need to dump that aging talent soon. Kevin Brown is a leach for Steinbrenner's wallet, Sheffield never should have been signed (would have left a spot for Beltran).

I doubt Pedro will go to the Yankees, for one the whole damn team hates him....for two, the Sox will make an effort to resign him, and as long as he doesnt want 17 million anymore, i bet they can come to an agreement that works for both parties. Especially if we seal the deal and win the series.

If I'm not mistaken, Randy is under contract next year, and if the Yankees didnt have enough in their farm system to trade for him this past year, I doubt they will be able to this winter.

I truely don't think money is of any concern whatsoever to Steinbrenner...i bet he will spend whatever he needs too after the debacle of blowing a 3 game lead to the Sox. And that means Beltran, if he wants to play in New York...which is up in the air.

Pavano is another name to watch, the sox are gonna go after him too, especially if pedro goes.....(anahiem is a possibility for pedro too)

And no, im not pulling this out of my ass....just repeating what selected pundits have been speculating

i dont think that pedro will go to the yankees this offseason either. a couple years ago, i dont think i would have had the same thoughts about this, but now i just dont see him going there, even if georgie throws a boatload of money at him.

the problem with the yanks is that they dont have any young talent anymore. their farm system is completely dried up, save for the overhyped/underperforming NY media driven prospects. this means that they will have to continually build their team on the free agent market, and that hasnt worked out too well. their great teams from 96-2000 got significantly more production from farm raised players, whereas now they get very little from them, and they have to rely on the kevin browns and arods of the world.
