Holdem Manager
I've downloaded the eval and so far I like this better compared to PT2. I'm still poking around trying to find things and I wish the eval time was greater than 15 days, but I may end up buying it.
Does anyone have any HUD configs they'd like to share? The configs can be exported so it's easy to share them. Any other tips or tricks anyone's picked up? |

holdem manager is absolutely great, I think I am using it about 3% of capacity of what it can do. Lots of HUDs are in the HEM forums, mine doesn't stack up. I guess I would encourage you to costumized the roll-over popups (or drop downs, the second display that pops up when you hover the mouse over a HUD stat) so that you can minimize what you have on your HUD. This will do two things.
1). Get you to recognize and think about the players at your table and what they are doing (table dynamic) as opposed to focusing on your HUD. 2). Force you to think about and play the hand in question prior to looking at a shitload of stats, of which only 1 or 2 are significant considering sample size. A great example of this is positional 3-bet stats preflop. Seriously, unless you have 10K or more hands on the player the sample size of how often the player 3-bets from CO compared to button is too small to provide unless info to the current hand. And postflop stats need a fuck-load more of hands to give meaningful informations. |

Good post by mel.
I set this up myself only a few weeks ago. It took a while, but I love it. It's light years better than PT2, and I suspect if mel is using 3% of it's features, I am using closer to 2%. I'm a big fan so far. |
