How often do you bluff?
This topic came up on a table last night.
What percentage of the pots you win are bluffs? Some clown at the table said that 75% of the pots he wins are bluffs. I find that to be a little high, even counting stealing the blinds often. I started keeping a mental note after that. I didn't change my play at all. I won 24 pots and only 8 were bluffs. 6 of those were stealing the blinds. I play somewhat coservatively, so I was wondering what other players percentages are. |

well of course it depends on what game, limit or no limit. Since I play only limit and like to use aggression (ie continuation and tester bets) i would say somewhere in the region you said 33% to 40%, for me. I could be off, maybe i will take note of that next time.

I bluff 90% percent of the time. Remember that when we play our heads up match
Oh by the way. PM me your available times of play, my schedule is pretty damn flexible starting on the 1st. |

I'd guess that my percentage is pretty high, if you include semi-bluff opportunities like 3 way pot with 910s and I flop 8J3 and I make a pot sized bet on the button.
However, my percentage for losing a lot of chips and fucking up the tourney on a 3street bluff against a tight ass bitch is pretty high too.

This totally depends on your definition of "bluff." Do you mean on the river when you have less than a pair (missed draws, for example)? Do you mean at every single betting opportunity when you think you don't have the best hand? Huge difference, obviously.
